This is actually very significant. I'm sure their licensing fees are really tinykitty high. That, and they probably only get permission to user certain aspects of the character in their game - it seems clear that the comic art is not a part of the deal as they use new art for the characters in the roster and the game play. I wouldn't be surprised if their license included the likeness (appearance, powers, personality, etc.) and one comic book cover (the one in the roster.) Everything else they probably have to generate themselves. Hence how much they re-skin.

Good points and could even be something with the covers ..maybe certain ones are tied to something or marvel would like forgotten so you don't get to see them or whatever who knows it's big business vs a tiny niche market of gamers and I don't think D3 is anywhere close to being able to take on marvel for more then what marvel allows (basically they're marvels uhm..ya lol but they still profit) .

I just wish even if that's the case they'd all realize if this game was less easy to buy victory more ppl would play it and less things would frustrate them and having more ppl playing always leads to more money ..ALWAYS (unless you massively screw up..) .

I'll give some slight teases there and say that the 2* is a variant that's about as similar to their other form as Black Widow (Original) is to Black Widow (Modern).

I've been anticipating a Gray Hulk or a Red Hulk for a while. This might be it.

I hate to bring this back from the dead, but given the silhouettes, this fake image does have some coincidences...

1. You can make a case for the first silhouette being Colossus.
2. Not sure on the 2nd but that could be our next 3* that IceIX teased.
3. After seeing Beast released, that silhouette is taken from his comic cover.
4. We know Ms. Marvel is going to be the upcoming 2* with IceIX's art slip and based on the silhouette figure and the Google search I've done regarding Ms. Marvel, she fits the slender sexy figure shown.

Maybe I'm looking too much into this but 3 out of 4 is a pretty overwhelming coincidence...would that leave the 2nd silhouette as "The 3* is a good guy at heart, when it comes down to it. Really."?

I think when Ice's original tease came up, I suggested Gambit early on (heart - cards (and quite in demand character)), so I am still going with that since apparently not IP (based on not real heart).

We might eventually get a 2* Iron Man, but he's not going to be coming any time soon given the info that's been released. The next 2* IS going to be Ms. Marvel. That's already known. It's the 3* that IceIX teased that we haven't been able to figure out for sure.

I can't see another Iron Man appearing any time soon. Of the teased ones we know about Colossus was just released, Ms. Marvel is coming up, Iron Patriot eventually and the 3* is likely hinting towards Gambit.

The 2nd one looks like Scarlet Witch. And the 4th could be Mystique (copying enemy powers!) or Ms.Marvel with Warbird costume. Altough she has a belt that would probably appear...

Or considering all the other 3 are mutants, it could also be Rogue, who could do that sexy pose just as well. Which would remove the belt problem with Warbird.

Ah, i see...but damn, whoever made it got Beast and Colossus right on. So the other one could be Scarlet Witch (could use another Avenger) and now that i think about that 4th one again, it could also be Emma Frost.
