I've been trying this sort of thing for a while.
Whenever something is changed that I don't like, I raise a support ticket as though the previous way is simply broken (for example: "Environment powers not working" when Team Ups were introduced, Healing not working, etc.) and then finish up my support request with something like "this has prevented me from being able to by Hero Points" so that it correlates with "lost sales".
I have a feeling it's not successful, since I haven't even received an automated "we got your ticket!" email except for the one ticket I raised about a server crash/outage, but it doesn't stop me being a smart ****.0 -
Colognoisseur wrote:I think Nonce has taken this as professionally FAR BEYOND one could expect. He has continued to provide compelling new content to these forums; witness the amazing who tanks who graph he posted earlier today.
I wish there was a way to get his name colored green again but I don't think it is going to happen.
Just a small correction. I've never seen anything like it before on a forum.
But more than being a moderator, he has all our love and gratitude. I'm sure he is much happier with these than being a D3P moderator.0 -

You made a critiqual post and the higher ups threw a temper tantrum and removed you from your volunteer position?
I finally understand the logic behind some of the decisions in this game.

There's a lot of irony in me getting fired as a community mod for what is now the community's most-respected post. Four different Devs supported my staying on as a moderator, based on public and private messages. However, due to a solitary user mistakenly thinking that I was a paid employee, some non-forum-reading person outranking those four decided I had to have my forum-mop taken away permanently.
You'll need to convince that high-ranking, disengaged, forum-eschewing person who makes critical decisions based on deeply nested mistakes.
TL;DR: Non sequitur reasoning fired Nonce Equitaur.
Revenge never gets anyone anywhere, as it tends to be a neverending cycle. I approve of Nonce's stance.0 -
TheLeftist wrote:For those of you who don't know, Nonce Equitaur 2 was removed from the title of Moderator due to a very needed post about the negative aspect of the game. Rather than listening to what this bright individual had to say, they responded by stripping what I consider the most liked and respected Moderator of his title. While I am rather passive, and mostly just read the forums, I don't want to stand by and watch this happen. Please, post your comments about this wrong doing. Let's show D3 how we feel about this injustice. Perhaps, they will pull their heads back into a position where the sun does shine, re-appoint someone who has taken a whole lot of time out of their own life for this game, and maybe, just maybe, they will start to consider listening to what he had to say. Thank you for your time.

Signed! This needs to stay at the top.0

The devs don't want freely thinking mods. They want mods who will clean spam and keep the forum goers from ripping on them. They want mods who will always agree with and never criticize them. And all for free. There's a person who used to be paid to do this. His name is IceIX. But now that the devs are trying to interact as little as possible, they need puppets. Nonce was too smart to be a puppet. He would do the job, but he would let the devs know they had screwed up when they needed to be told.0

has anyone bothered to ask if nonce still wants to be a mod?
if I was in his position, I wouldn't come straight out and tell somebody after a gesture like this unless somebody made a point of seeing what my stance was.
could be kind of like getting a birthday present you don't actually want. Sure, you're going to sit there and smile like it was the greatest thing ever, but you're just going to stick it on a shelf in your closet for the next four years until you forget what the **** it is and throw it out
Nonce, do you even want to be a volunteer mod after getting burned?0
