I still think Level 5 Snare should put 2 web tiles on the board. Especially if they do away with team Devour and increase the cost of individual Devour.

Yeah. This makes L5 Snare even worse.

    Worse than what?

The problem with Venom is that his web tiles are largely irrelevant. If you want a successful devour build, you need to use Spidey. But Spidey is a 3-star and by that time there are better options than Venom.

Venom's webs are supposed be stronger than Spideys, right? I would change his purple to stay at 4 AP and do an additional 100 damage for each web tile on the board. So even if he doesn't have the 6 required to eat them whole, at least he gets something.

Hawkeye changes makes him more attractive for newcomers for low level PvE.

These two dudes are 1-star... don't expect it to shake up the tourney scene at all XD

Edit: DumDumDugn should be very pleased though.. judging by the other thread.

lol yay the gimmick is dead
  • As someone who uses Venom a lot I don't know what to say to this...Not only is it taking away a viable team killer with "devour all", its also upping the instant kill from five to six web tiles. The jump from five to six web tiles might not seem like much but it makes a big difference. I can go into a match with six blue and get a quick 3 web tiles laid down with Spider-man, that webs the whole team for at least a round giving me the opportunity to match another blue to keep the team tied up...that's four web tiles down in the 2nd round. Using Venom's purple skill I can throw out one more giving me five for an instant take down. Once the web tiles start building up it gets harder and harder to manage the board and the possibility of running out of yellow tiles increases. Its not a major issue but it will definitely be missed...maybe you can add a third skill to soften the blow?

ps I'm willing to overlook a lot due to Spider-man's awesome purple change - thanks for that!

Level 5 Snare is worse than Level 4 Snare for web tiles. The change made the web tiles weaker. So it makes Level 5 Snare even worse than it was for web tiles. If you were going for a devour build, it was a race to get the web tiles and Black AP you needed. Even though Spidey was necessary, Venom helped out. With the nerf to web tiles for Venom, Level 5 Snare is even less useful for web tiles than it was before. At Level 5, you can't even hold enough AP at once to create the 6 web tiles you need for a single devour. Before, you could.

I agree that his devour should do more damage with more web tiles on the board. Right now, I don't even know why he makes web tiles. I think stunning the whole team for 4 AP would be too overpowered for him though.

It still works. it's just a little softer. The link is where they started talking about it.
