I'm ready for a new poll. These polls can be unstickied.

    Highly annoying
    92 Sentry
    88 Daken (Classic or DA)
    75 Ares
    74 Juggernaut
    60 Hood
60 Black Widow (GS, Orig, Mod, or Yelena)
    55 Venom
    53 Bullseye
    50 Falcon
    46 Ragnarok

    Moderately annoying
    44 Loki
    38 Spiderman
37 Magneto (Classic or Marvel Now)
    35 Hulk
    32 Daredevil
    32 Punisher
    28 Nick Fury
    25 Psylocke
23 Storm (Classic, Modern, or Mohawk)
    22 Deadpool

    Not Annoying
18 Thor (Modern or Marvel Now)
13 Wolverine (X-Force, Patch, or Astonishing)
    11 Moonstone
    10 Captain Marvel
    08 Black Panther
07 Human Torch (Classic or Johnny Storm)
    05 Hawkeye
    05 Iron Man (IM 35 or IM40)
    04 She-Hulk
    03 Captain America
  • I voted for Juggernaut because 2 simple red matches means 1,5k to 2,5k damage to someone (at the level i am) and takes forever to kill.

Moonstone is always casting Gravity Warp, especially if there are goons feeding purple.

I don't think Ares is annoying, i think he is hard or punishing to fight, but he doesn't generate cascades and his Onslaught doesn't his as much as the Headbutt and at least he gives you green as well, which seems a color most teams uses anyway.
  • 3* Magneto is also annoying for the simple reason that his animations take up something like 20% of the duration of a fight, which really makes me twitchy when I'm shield-hopping. icon_e_smile.gif
  • I voted Bullseye as his protect tiles drag things out, and that stupid grin he has on his face really rubs it in (I actually like that in a way). I down him with extreme prejudice. But it's more a novelty. The Hood is more annoying/threatening in a real sense and the AP drain leaves you feeling violated every turn. I may not always target Bullseye first, but I nearly always target the Hood first. Classic Storm is also always a first target, and OBW behind that. In the rare event of a Hood, Cstorm, OBW team, I'd prolly go Storm, Hood, OBW in that order. Luckily, they don't have much HP.

I am surprised that Spidey and shehulk are not options.

I try not to play against them, because they can drag out the games. Spidey purple ability means he can generate a lot of defence tiles. And his heal and stun delays the game... And the truth is that while he's an annoyance he is usually not a priority to take out.

Similarly for she hulk, her green can delay the game with a lucky AP reduction in color (eg greeen for COTS). her red also damage everyone and is irritating.
  • No Wade Wilson? He can pretty annoying. The current PvE of 3 Deadpools made me roll my eyes once too many times. Especially since his black multiple triggers(/cascades?) on that node. And face it he has a cheap red, a good purple, and reverse-Avoid to prevent that kill shot.

I lose more matches to the AWolvie-OBW combo than any other. It's really annoying.
  • After reading all the comments on both polls, I've noticed that players dislike long matches (Oh god not another animation/MOAR Protect Tiles?/Stunlock we meet again.), and like match damage/strike tiles (Strike FTW/Anti-Strike I mean Protect tiles). Which I find interesting... because I find most guides say that it's the powers that win the battle, and not tile matches. And protect tiles really don't protect that well against powers. The best Protect powers are either Steve Rogers' or Falcon's. Spidey's is really dependent on web tiles for strength, and BP's takes awhile to build up.

I also wonder which sample are 2star PvP match annoyances, 3* PvP match annoyances, and PvE grind fest annoyances. I dislike mHawkeye because his Avoid power means I have always keep him in mind while I target the others, and his stun/AoE CDs can be only be stopped by matching (since I can't KO him unless he last or there is only a few purples on the board), so I feel the chances of a wipe due to a bad board increases with him. I don't fight Juggs anymore unless it's PvE or Balance of Power (where I don't fight him), but like Ares or Sentry I find that powers that self-inflict for massive damage at cheap cost, when the health cost doesn't matter outside the match annoying. Overall I find Team-Ups the most annoying, because you can't plan for them ahead of the match... you enter and go, "Oh a Sentry Supernova. What fun this will be."

[Addition] I remember reading once that people found mStorm annoying because Hailstorm would mess the board enough to make people miss good matches. I wonder if Falcon has the same issue.
  • I don't do shield hopping (yet).

I mostly will ignore the only character = Hood with 5 blue covers

But if no other choice to face him, will equip rainbow boosts even I have my own Hood.

Twice I lost without equipping rainbow boosts because of him.

Hulk is annoying but still didn't force me to equip rainbow boosts.

not my own Hood = icon_evil.gif

Do you mean like rainbow AP boosts or rainbow match damage boosts? Taking the whole rainbow AP against enemy Hood is extremely risky, if you take AP at all, focus on 1-2 colours that you have quick attacks on (e.g. Deadpool's red, Psylocke's black, Daken's blue). OTOH I engage enemy Hoods without boosting anything all the time, thanks to my own Hood helping cancel him out. If boosts would still drop, I would equip some match damage boosts, but not AP.

It's ap boosts I'll use total 6 ap (normal ap + rainbow ap boosts) when facing da hood. other than that only equipping normal 3 ap color boosts if not figthing him. I do quick fight so had to equip boosts.
So based on the 'precious' rainbow color ap boosts needed to be equipped only when fighthing him. He is by far the most annoying one imho hehe.

*** just fought fury + hood + forgotten (lol) in simulator pvp without using any boost ended Kaboomed my Hood downed but able to win in bad condition icon_rolleyes.gif

Fury is very dangerous in conjunction with Hood. Still, if you rely less on rainbow AP boosts you can get the hang of it and realize that these expensive boosts are not always necessary.
