I took D3P's game seriously, invested in it, they owe me some kind of service in return. It's true I think of it as an investment because I've been a long time CCG collector, and in this world (MTG at least), you never lose your investment, because WotC makes sure "most" of your investments are safe. Depends on what you are buying of course.

This is a common sentiment. It is similar to the outrage when a character is changed (be it nerf or buffed) and people cry for compensation.

This feeling that the company should "give me the game that I want"... it's very common.

Unfortunately, what I want may be different from what arktos want which is different from what hailmary wants which is different from XXX wants.... you get the drift.

If I get some kind of compensation, it will also be for the good of all of us, not just me.

I not sure you understand what my satirical posts really meant. If you do get some kind of compensation, the whole business system will collapse. It allows retrospective claims of damages, and everyone can claim their items are devalued.

Put simply, what is beneficial for us will not be beneficial for the company, and also for the country which allows that claims to be processed.

And when the company is not sustainable they will close shop. And there won't be any more mpq. I don't want that.

As long as money is involved, we have rights. And I'll see what can be done.

And many of us are telling that what you are asking for, is categorically, definitely *NOT* within our rights.

If it is within our rights, u can be sure I will go around sueing companies for a living (satire sentence)

You can't legally say "because this is Free to Play game" we owe you nothing : no explanation, no compensation, nothing... No, that is not correct.
What does the F2P part have to do with anything? The shotgun approach to debate, where you lob as many random arguments as you can in the hope that something happens to stick, isn't as effective as you've apparently been led to believe.

You never lose your MPQ investment, because D3 makes sure "most" purchases are "safe", except for the ones that it doesn't. Depends on what you are buying of course.

They are totally disrespectful of us, and this is not normal. As long as money is involved, we have rights. And I'll see what can be done.
Sure, you have rights. You just don't have the specific right you're insisting on in this thread. Similarly, you have fingers, but you don't have one growing out of your left ear.
  • An Iso compensation will not make the company collapse, let's get serious for a minute.

It takes 6,2 Million ISO to max a roster right now. They have ways to make business in the future.

Only them have their destiny in hands. Considering whales account for 0.8 % of the player base, they should be more respectful to the money these bring to the game...

You think so? It won't break them but it would set a precedence. And when ppl know you are "compensated", a lot more people will cry foul and demand compensation too.

While iso is digital currency and they can print how ever much they want, giving it away eats into their future earnings.

I think individual should also respect rules and laws and not expect that the rules be bend to their convenience.
  • Well, considering all the comments made regarding buying Iso, I must have been one of the rare freak to have bought so much.

If it was not the case, the price would not have dropped.

How many guys can claim having bought millions of Iso ? Not many. So the loss would not be big.

I think they have way more things to take the customer into consideration before they compensate anything. That's right.

If you want to claim for a compensation, you need to give evidence. Building a spreadsheet to prove that takes a long time.

Is that your plan for this? That's no more valid evidence than if you wrote the numbers down on a napkin and handed it over. It's absolutely meaningless hearsay, and even if you did bring them valid documents showing your expenses, it still does nothing to prove your claim.

I would add further to say that the "evidence", whatever form it is, still does not justify arktos claim.

Basically, there is no merit to the case at all. After seeing the exchange I do not see any angle in which the case should be brought up in court.
  • Oh I know that, but he's already refused to believe that a dozen times already. Not gonna bother trying to convince him how pointless the whole thing is again.
