No you got it right, TaT is the cursed one (its first run was most fondly remembered by forumites even), and Unstable ISO is the other most hated one.
TaT is *so* cursed it even brought down our servers this time BEFORE it ran!

Play the game with him in your team. You earn them daily from winning with him. I'm fully expecting people to post a Youtube video of the OP Whales! Whales! Whales! the day points max out. icon_e_smile.gif

So earlier, in X-men chat, we were discussing things that popped into our heads while playing. Personalky, I picture a very cartoony looking deadpool (see cover chosen in game) playing duck duck goose except it being whale whale NARWHAL

Any extra rewards handed out shouldn't be "compensation" so much as a "celebration" that Deadpool destroyed MPQ. He found all the ISO, and everyone benefits... icon_e_smile.gif

Seriously though, fun event, and that's coming from a Bane that hates, hates, hates PvE.

Hey iceIX, while you're here, any chance of getting the actual numbers for what each level of fury's yellow does at max level?

I don't have them on hand and the QA version of the game that's on my laptop isn't new enough for me to trust the numbers. I'll toss it on my list of things to track down tomorrow. Won't be hard to get those numbers.
  • Any chance of taking the Team Up feature down? I honestly believe it's the worst idea you guys ever had, not bringing anything but extra complexity, confusion and randomness to the game. And the warning message at the end of every pvp match is beyond irritating.

It doesn't need taken down. Just tweaked.

Instead of using boost slots, team ups shoukd have a single 4th slot.

An unused team up should stay registered until expended, same as boosts. You equip it, it's there til you use it.

There was another small tweak or 2 I had in mind, can't think of em right now.

Its 1sr run was the infamously bad timing of the thor bering nerf.
I meant 'most fondly remembered out of all TaT events', which is saying something.

In fairness, day 1 of TaT was really fun: it was the first implementation of scaling (but with no community scaling), and the idea of subevents which got harder and harder as you grinded seemed like a clever idea which meant you basically scored as high as you were prepared to beat your nodes. I still think it's better than the current implementation of community scaling and having to grind every couple of hours to max your score.

It was after day 1 that we discovered that the scaling didn't reset with every subevent, and we were stuck the entire rest of the event with every single node at such high levels that they couldn't be consistently beaten (or beaten at all) without Spidey stunlock. And so every day of TaT after day 1 was NOT fun.

I forget at this point whether it was TaT where I fell sick after the first two or three days and missed the rest of the tournament, or the appalling Heroic which followed it. Whichever one gave out all the Patch covers, with the result I didn't max my Patch until a couple of months ago and missed out on all that Patchnetoing goodness (having instead been Punnetoing and Magnethoring).
  • I hope it's a villain there is just way too many heroes.

Given the speed they're fixing things in this game, I'd rather they took it down, then work two years on it to make it right, then relaunch... icon_e_smile.gif

Day 1 of every PvE is considered fun. But by the end everyone is complaining about being burnt out by the grind and the scaling. Oh and being screwed by time zones

That and the ability to delete team-ups you don't want. And some kind of rule that makes countdown tiles played from team-up "belong" to a character on the team who can be killed or stunned, rather than belonging to an untargetable "4th" teammate.

My worry is hackers getting max points from day one and forever. How easy will it be for you guys to detect and sandbox for this?

deleting worthless team ups was what I forgot, thanks.

I'd venture to say that it would be extremely easy. DP points can't normally get maxed instantly, so anyone who does so, much less does so multiple times would stick out like a sore thumb.
  • While we are on the team up topic, holy **** at force field crush. Lay down 3 bubbles and end your turn. So in other words it does worse than nothing. It does nothing, then it ends your turn. Lmao. Seriously.

That is seriously a power that shouldn't be a team-up though I suppose you could run a IW two ability set. In that case, why not just run IW????

The scaling was actually fairly under control this tournament, considering the amount of grinding everyone was doing, and that cmags was unrestricted for the 2nd sub (though he was locked out of some of the harder nodes in the first sub)

So DP points work like the current Daily ISO reward? i.e. a fixed amount everyday as long as Deadpool wins a match everyday?
