Yeah, so unfair! If these people get compensated, those of us who ended up in the top 3 should also be compensated with more Punisher covers because we actually earned those spots
Um no... The whole complaint from like a billion people is the ones who ended up in top 3 in fact did nothing to earn it other than be lucky....0 -

LOL. That's hilarious. It's called having a good strategy. Everybody had TEN days to figure out how to go about this event. The only luck required is that the rest of your bracket is full of dummies that aren't able understand how the event and rubberbanding works.0 -

I think the only people who deserve to be angry are the who got duped into spending money on health packs thinking they had a chance to compete thanks to the illusion of rubberbanding.
Everything else sticks around so if you paid money to upgrade the buffed heroes... that's on you. God save your soul if you spent HP on modern hawkeye in order to compete.0 -

A bit glib from me, yes. I know some PC games that are like that, I'm not familiar with mobile games that offer cosmetic only.0 -

*raises hand*
I love the one dude who praised the community in the other thread and then people in this thread are bashing people who played a week and a half of fun expecting the result the game itself sets you up to expect and then don't get it.
That's not strong community building at all, sorry. Everyone should want everyone else to at least have fun.0 -
I was in the top 3 the whole tournament also, and while I do not expect compensation, I will not be supporting this game any more. Neither will my wife or cousin. I have always believed in supporting the games I play one way or another so they are able to get better and more content (we are all big into LOL, we spend alot on skins). The problem though is almost nothing is certain, everything is on a kind of random setting (like the packs and such nothing is a guarantee). The Hunt was the same for me, all the time and effort put in and...well ****? Atleast I know that if I want to spend some money I know what I am getting with League.
I guess the thing that bothers me the most is after all this I would atleast have liked to see a response from Ice or someone. Even if it isnt the response that everyone is looking for but something should have been said. It looks like there are alot of people upset with the way this worked (seems it rewarded the casual player IMO) and I understand most of their player base are not on these forums, not addressing us will alienate several of us. A "Well we tried this out and umm it didnt work quite as we wanted" would be something.
I wouldn't of had as much of a problem with this if one of them had said something.0 -

Unless he chooses to do so in his free time today on Sunday, we will have to wait for about 20 hours before we hear from any D3 representative.0 -

First, thanks for your support. It helps everyone who plays the game. I'm a LoL player and I love Riot to death and too and I've also referenced Riot's attitudes in these forums so I know what you're talking about.
Second, give them some time to work out a response. I'm sure they'll have something for you soon. It's only been an hour since the tournament ended.
Lastly... I hope you can be a little more charitable even if the response might not be what you expect. d3p has struggled with its tourneys for a long time now (in my opinion at least, as i've been levelling my own criticisms at their tourney formats for the longest time) but they definitely do have a mindset of change - given that every tourney is different.
I've never seen a game like this where the gameplay is a series of tourneys that essentially gives out free stuff, so this is probably new ground for them too. Give them some patience. They're not the same as the Riot Machine who has learnt and grown to become one of the most human game companies out there, but they're as close as I can see when compared to the other mobile gaming giants, many of which I despise at the moment.
tl;dr - give them a chance!0 -

Lol thanks for catching me on that, I have not slept since friday morning (been a VERY busy weekend) haha I forgot that this is sunday and not monday. Ok, I am going to wait and see now. I am glad that this is the case and not, just not carring enough to reply. Thanks Shikao lol.0 -

Well, I would think that even if he does see what's going on, his hands are tied and probably can't make much of an official response until everyone is in the office and they can look at what happened. I think expecting anything more than "please be patient and we will look at what happened" at the absolute most is unreasonable.0 -

Aluminium_Man wrote:If you actually feel that way, more punisher covers wouldn't make it fair. First cover of each color has infinitely greater value than those that follow, so the only proper compensation would be giving you a brand new hero.
Of course I'm not serious. People need to keep in mind that only the top 5-10% (forget if it was top 50 or top 100)of players get The Punisher. The rubberbanding only gave people a false sense of hope that they could achieve a top spot.0 -
