Are people seeing sharding to the extreme or is it just me?

I'm not sure if I'm unlucky but is the sharding back with a vengeance?

For top 5 a minimum score of 1200 is required every event for me it seems. I normally wait at least 24-36 hours to start the event hoping to miss the big players....not working for me lol

I think they nudged MMR bucket between season 3rd and 4th because we didn't accept their generous "true healing" for diversity funbalance. we needed less time prologue healing not because they wanted us to buy more health packs which failed cause everyone knew it was for a money grab.

yeah this has been terrible... 1200 for top 5 is just insane. 1000+ for top 10 in my brackets too.

I am ok with them having sharding in brackets BUT the death brackets needs to be offered better reward than those newbie brackets.

This game need to stop punishing players who actually play the game and make progress.

I used to be able to get top 20 with 550 to 600, now I look at it and all the top 20 are close to 1000.

I'M in your bracket. I didnt expect to have to work so hard to get top 5 either but within a couple hours I saw I was surrounded by you and X-Men

I'm not 100% convinced they changed sharding this season. Yes, I've seen tough brackets. But has anyone seen any fluffy brackets of life? If EVERYONE is seeing death brackets, then maybe it's not sharding, but lots of people pushing higher.

Yes, there was someone in the facebook add crowing about a 600 point #1 finish last tourney

There are definitely easier brackets, my bracket is pretty much 1100+ for top 10, 6th place has 1249 points, top 3 are 1300+.

Does anyone have any ideas or theories on the sharding criteria (No. of maxed characters, days played, previous event finish)? My guess is it's somehow based on placement in previous events, but I have no clear idea.

The more people think that joining later will lead to an easier bracket, the harder the later brackets will be

Anyways we must realize the recent events have been giving out wanted covers like BP, Sentry, and Cap Marvel (since she is new, plus Sentry at 1.1k progression). This could push more people to compete.

Lol Huey, I feel your pain. These death brackets are a pain!

I'm not sure if it's just me but I always feel surrounded by X-men. They are like cockroaches in a cheap motel. They are everywhere ! Lol

My top 7 is 1333 and up, some of those lunatics are still unshielding and climbing, 1100 is barely enough for top 10.

I guess sharding "working as intended", I think I'm good with top 25 from now on, pushing harder is not worth the aggravation.

Huey and mental, I was also in your bracket, and I felt honored that d3 deigned me dangerous enough to be put in a group with 3 X-Men and all the other n'er-do-wells.

I blew most of my HP stash on previous tourneys' shields and Cap'n Marvel, so these last two tourneys have been cruel exercises in not shielding and repeating Reinhold Niebuhr's serenity prayer.

Yep, not just you. This was unpleasant:

(In actuality, everyone in T10 but Ryz was shielded at the end)

My previous S4 brackets weren't as unpleasant, but T5 definitely felt harder than in S3 (phrasing).
