How to get enough hero points to keep up roster size?

Will do, I won't delete wolverine. I'm having trouble getting thor covers though: I don't think I can beat the yelena boleva missions with my current team as is.

It's pretty tough early on. It might take a bit of luck. You want to take Yelena out first because the thugs can't move the board. Keep in mind that once she's gone, the threaten tiles won't hurt you unless a tommy gun goes off, so priority goes to those. Also, this didn't used to work this way, but stuns now prevent countdown tiles from progressing. If you decide to try it, I would suggest +3 all, +3 red/yellow, and +3 blue/purple boosts.

Honestly, I attribute much of my early game sucess to c.Hawkeye. He's the only 1-star I levelled and he helped me place high in the very first Unstable ISO event. He also had a boost in one of the very early PVP events. I think we all know how good high crit characters are with 200% boost and env tiles.

mstorm, level 30
iron man 35, level 30
mblack widow, level 29
thor, level 16
loki, level 15
rag, level 15
velena, level 10
moonstone, level 9
daken, level 8
bullseye, level 6
wolverine, level 6

I have modern hawkeye and black widow sitting in my rewards section waiting to be recruited. Is anyone in my roster worth dumping for these two characters? I'm thinking velena since I was using her in my event team, but pulled a rag to replace her.

Widow for yelena...that's about it. You could contemplate selling Loki to help get mire slots but you'd kick yourself if he became good at some point.

Also, don't open any tokens except for the event specific ones. So no standards or heroic. Just event heroics.

Hmm.. what's the benefit to not opening the tokens?I've been opening them in hopes of getting a thor so that I can replace IM 35 with thor. It hasn't really happened yet though. I'm trying to transition to 2 star chars as fast as possible, but am finding it really hard to get the covers for them.

Not opening tokens so you can try to get more HP before receiving possible new characters. try to target and repeat missions that give you 50HP as much as possible?

I would stop putting ISO into M Storm and M Widow. As AP generators/utility characters, they don't really need levels to do their job. Same goes with Yelena, who's pretty much a lousier Widow so I'd give her up if you need more cover slots.

You basically have 2 routes open to you right now to get Thor and/or Wolverine, both of which are great replacements for IM35.

Firstly, since Thor is buffed for the Hunt, you should definitely be doing the entry level Hunt missions to try to get the lower end rewards. Modern Hawkeye is a pretty average character, but you could pull more Thors from the Heroic Hunt tokens.

Secondly, if you get get the Daken covers in the Prologue(they drop off the end of Dark Avengers chapter) and level him up, you could try to place top 75 in the current and next Dark Avengers tourney. If you do both and get the 3 Wolverine covers in the prologue, you could very reasonably have at least a 3/1/1 Wolverine.

If both fails don't feel bad about investing in IM35, which is what I did since the events available to me back when I started weren't so great. A 5/5/3 IM35 at level 40+ is going to be far more helpful in completing the Prologue and grabbing progression rewards and low placings on tourneys than a 2/1/1 or something Thor/Wolverine capped at level 30+.

I've been doing the entry hunt missions: i can only do a couple before they get too crazy for my current team though: it seems really hard to place and get heroic tokens. What level did you complete the dark avengers chapter at? I'm nearing the end of oscorp but the missions seem like they're eventually going to be too much for my team to handle.

Oops, Daken drops off the end of Oscorp, not Dark Avengers, so you'll probably see his covers soon. I finished the Prologue with a 40+ IM35, 25+ M Storm and 21 Widow. The final Prologue missions have level 40~ enemies which is pretty manageable as long as IM35 is in front tanking.

Huh, didn't know that Daken was in oscorp. I have him and am leveling him up now. Hopefully it pays off and i place in top 25, since getting a 4 cover wolverine would be pretty nice. Is he a good character to have in general, or will he be obsoleted pretty quickly? I'm trying to figure out how much effort i should spend in levelling daken and moonstone.

He makes everyone on your team hit harder, that never goes out of style. I still use him along side my Ragnarok to make his spammy low damage skills hit like a truck.

No, 4* wolverine stinks. 2* is great (which is what Ranzera was talking about I'm pretty sure).

I wouldn't level Moonstone at all if possible -- she's just not any good. Daken is surprisingly decent for a 2 color, 2* cover. His strike tiles are only about 1/2 the power of 2* Wolverine, but they're free and they discourage your opponent from matching green, which can be a pain (not that the AI cares). I've leveled mine up some for this tournament, although I'm unsure I'll keep putting ISO in him since I have a bunch of 3*s that need the ISO.

To your question though -- ditch Yelena. She's just bad. And I second not using tokens if you don't have the HP to buy a slot -- it just leads to more and more of these kind of questions and you're running out of characters to sacrifice to the RNG.
