POLL: Admit it, you've bought healthpacks with True Healing™

  • Didn't need health packs before, still don't need health packs to score top 25 most PvPs with a 2 star roster.
  • As I am not tanking anymore (tie consuming and boring), the Health Packs are needed since I face lvl 141 teams only.

And thanks to MPQ diversity, they are all the same.

Having a complete maxed roster is not needed (tell me about diversity) because if you don't play a team that is both offensive AND defensive, you get hit like crazy.

I'd love to use the whole roster in PvP, but because most of the characters are not equally balanced, that's not possible. And I want to be on Top so as to get the rewards (and pay less), otherwise, this is card collecting, and I've done that already with Magic the Gathering.

Just as a note, so far we saw an increase in Health Pack purchases the day of and after the change went Live, likely due to people reacting to the change by "powering through it" instead of changing their gameplay patterns. Then sales dropped down slightly below "standard" for on Friday/Saturday. Now they have been stable for the past day and a half at the same general amount as before the healing change. As we expected, so far the change hasn't made any real bump or dip in Health Packs for the user base. Basically, we weren't expecting this change to make any huge impact financially in regards to Health Pack purchases. So far, it's been about a net zero. As stated before, it wasn't our intent and so far the change has had about the expected result in regards to changing player's play patterns away from Prologue Healing or reliance on similar strategies to extend play. We're still monitoring closely though, as we haven't even run a full PVE Event with the new changes in effect.

I get the cynical idea that the change was intended to simply line our pockets. It was never the reasoning on our end, and continues to be something that we did that hurts now for some players but we wholeheartedly believe is in the best interest of the game in the long run. I just wanted to throw out a bit of info on the actual financial aspects of the change to illustrate what has happened so far there, so that you all are better informed.

Is it just my imagination or does it take longer for Iron Man Model 40 to fully heal vs any other character?

Gotta repair the suit bro lol takes longer than healing like wolvie, or you could jump into model 35 and see where that gets you icon_razz.gif

Just checked by retreating my own Iron Man (Model 40) on Live. After 1 retreat he was at 2628/3932 with a 54m15s healing timer. That's right at the 24HP/sec that he and the other 3*s should be at. Thor (Modern) right next to him after that same retreat was at the same ratio. Checked this on a device both on R55 and R56, so there doesn't appear to be any patching issues. Everything looks in order for Iron Man.

He's a 141. But recently since I've needed to dust off the ol' stable it seems like all I ever do is stare at the timer above his head.. icon_neutral.gif

Logically, shoudn't the gods have an enhanced heal rate too? Thor makes more sense to me as a fast healer than Spider-Man, to be honest.

But he has the proportional healing power of spider.

So do I carry him outside or just let the cats get him?

Or you square him off in battle with his mortal enemy:

I want to believe that was not your intention. But could you not foresee that the next Top Tier would be Patch/Daken and Cmag ? Do you think it's better now than it used to be ? It's not. Prologue Healing is just a tiny aspect of the overall problem.

Spidey was overused because of healing : you nerfed it. People were angry.
OBW was overused everywhere : you set up True Healing. People are mad.

What are you going to do next, so that we stop seeing Patch/Daken/Cmag everywhere ? Nerf them too ?

Can't you see the problem is not there ? Is it so hard to understand that since you are reading the forum ?

When will you stop acting as a parent giving education to children ? We do not need to be educated (ok HM, you can shoot at this one icon_e_smile.gif ) we just WANT TO PLAY THE GAME YOU CREATED.

Let me repeat again so that you can understand better :

You do realise that the nerf for CMags and Spidey was announced on the same day, around Christmas?
CMags being broken is not something that the devs only noticed this week.
  • You do realize that I mentioned 3 chars and not one ?

No, not because of roster or casual, but usually don't need them at all. Cos I'm not hardcore competitive like those in the top 10 alliances.
  • I went with the casual option, which in this case means "I used to play a lot and now just read the forums out of habit "

What about Shields? That is where I figured would be the uptick in sales. Healthpacks, true healing or not, are a horrible value. I figured people would just be shielding more often. All it did was make me be stuborn and refuse to buy anything with HP besides slots and if I get flush with HP, a specific cover.

So play it. The lack of Prologue Healing just prevents extreme binging. You can easily get 10+ matches in with 5 packs.

Sadly, I have bought many a health pack in the past to keep climbing the ranks of pvp's & pve's...I have cut back on buying hp in general, as I was spending way to much between token packs (basically a waste at this point for me), shields & some healthpacks (probably too many healthpacks before I started battles w/o full health)...I will not be buying them as much, if at all, in a stand of solidarity against the "money grab", which I believe was the intent regardless of how they try to spin it (after all, if it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then no matter what you call it, it's still a duck)...

You (d3 or whoever) are changing the game to fit your needs and fill your pockets rather than making changes to better the game, such as the Spidey nerd a few weeks or so ago...eventually, that's gonna catch up with you and you'll start losing players that can't afford to but hp constantly to keep being able to play...

I've only ever bought one set of health packs before the change (I was hitting the heal buttons too fast while eating lunch, and accidentally ran out and bought some without realizing it! Carelessness is no excuse, but I think I've learned my lesson.)

I am less inclined to buy health packs than anything else as they are merely a time constraint. Even when trying to climb the ranks of an event, it's a better investment to just shield than to buy health packs.
