HARD WORK for nothing!!

I've been playing MPQ since September and I remember only having one star characters, grinding day in and out for 2 stars, now they handing out 2 stars like government assistance for baby mommas. I'm getting tired of all the 3 star grinding, and then you have killed almost every 2 star that was remotely special. I'm not going to quit but I'm not grinding anymore and I'm very disappointed this great game became what it is today.

They changed OBW and that's pretty much it. It's not even that big of a deal. I've yet to talk to anyone that's said that after playing the PVP they still hate the True Healing feature. Maybe you just need to learn to play better/smarter instead of relying on the same crutches as the rest of the complainers?

I haven't spent that much on this game, not nearly as much as some and not enough to give me a huge advantage, and I fail to see what being a part of a large alliance has to do with it. This change has forced me to play smarter and better too. It's also forced me to alter my playing habits so that I'm playing more frequently, but for shorter periods of time, and starting PVPs earlier. How is any of this bad?
  • Really? Play smarter or better, you don't think there's a problem when you make a 2 star character, then you grind or pay to lvl them up to the max. Then they nerf the 2star character and say it's too strong but say hey give me your money again for the same character but it's a 3star. I have probably spent $20 max on this game and I have every 2star, 8 are maxed. A roster of 35 slots. And all are over lvl 40. And I did that on 20 bucks so hush with that you need to get better talk. I'm not saying everything decision should be to my liking, but the game has changed a lot and imo not for the best..
  • He wasn't telling you that "you" need to be smarter or better at the game. He was simply telling you that you need to adapt to the changes to see that it is not as bad as it seems.

Thank you for not poking your ignorant head into the forums earlier. Do everyone a favor and delete the game from your device. Then sink your device to the bottom of a deep lake. Then join it down there.

I gave in and played today, just to get the daily bonus, and I hate the "true healing" feature and that my Spidey is now window dressing.

    OBW has barely been nerfed.

You can plow through the current PvE with her and wolverine almost exclusively. Espionage is a monster with Wolv's strike tiles, and her heal became a 'protect' that basic stops further damage the rest of the match. Not to mention the AP steal is still quite strong. This is nothing like the Spidey/Ragnarok nerfs.
  • Everyone will have mixed opinion about this nerf and temporary health stuff. Since we have the temp health hopefully we will recieve more health packs in pvp and pve. It doesn't feel right to me spending money on health packs.

In other words; The game is now playing you, instead of you playing the game.

Also, could you please comment on how players of the Steam/PC edition are supposed to be playing 'more frequently' over the course of the day?

Honesty I think a lot of the changes are great for new players. I am in a great alliance and I haven't spent any money. Like what Jaime says you have to determine if this game is worth your time or not. I have lost 300 points in a pvp and not made covers before so I adapted my playing style to ensure I use shields correctly. It's easier now for people to get obw ares etc. when I started these were so sought after that many bought covers. You don't need to do that anyone. Plus the heal change is so much better. Waiting 12 hrs for hulk to heal was crazy and a waste. That's cut way down and I play less now and still can score well. This game is a lot of luck and strategy. So have fun and do your best and if that's not enough then tank like a crazy man and hope that helps

I had a useless 1/2/1 OBW for 90% of my 2*-3* transition, and I'm happy that 2* covers are showering down on people now. Thor & AWolv were nerfed from OP to high-tier, and OBW is still a 2.5* character. You're seem disappointed that: 1. newbies have an easier time getting 2* covers now, and 2. you can't simply steamroll everything in 2* land with Thorverine.

So... you're not talking about "true healing." Got it.

Clearly, "true healing" greatly impacts those who do one fight a day.

I wasn't speaking specifically of you Jamie. I just noted that a lot of these people telling the 2* players to suck it up are well established 3* players.

The benefit of a large (and active) alliance is the enhanced rewards you get per event. I'm sure your alliance hasn't consistently been getting 250iso icon_e_wink.gif

In the end we will all adapt and a month from now we will be complaining about the next nerf.

In a game with 2 healers, the way to get people to use other characters isn't to squash them but to come out with competitive alternatives. We have plenty of tanks and DPS, give us more useful utility characters for things like heals stun and the like. Sure the AI on defense will botch the job but it's risk reward...

Mine isn't. The pink protect tiles still protect. Stun still stuns. Yellow shields to prevent more damage so it still increases time between heals.

I'm completely F2P and have spent most of my time not in a large alliance. I transitioned from 2* to 3* in what I think is a relatively short amount of time. 2 months? I did the first half of that without OBW. I'm proud of the fact I won my way through the transition phase faster than other 2* players. I think I play more efficiently and win a higher percentage of games. I think I minimize damage taken from the AI more than most do. I think I've made smart decisions throughout the game. I think I deserved those 3* covers I won more than other 2* players did.

I'm not an old timer (started late Jan). I'm not a a big spender (completely F2P). I haven't been part of a major alliance (no Fury covers). I've only recently had a choice of maxed out 3*'s. And yes, I think people should work more on being more efficient in matches. Timing your runs better. Being smart with shields. Caring about defense, and not just rushing offensive colors. And the players who play smarter deserve to progress faster than those who don't.

I do feel bad for the PC/Steam players in general because they're tied to their computer and can't play as often (bathroom breaks FTW) as us mobile players.

Yeah... No. I don't think you want to open up a remote desktop interface to the web. Feel like getting sniffed and hacked much?

And even if you did have a secure enough setup (encrypted VPN, etc.) you're not actually allowed to use that kind of stuff from the office, are you? Big security breech connecting to unsanctioned networks or systems like that. And if you're found out, you can probably expect disciplinary matters at best. Moreover, you cannot really smuggle in a few rounds of play in the office without people walking buy noticing it, or sys admins logging a weird IP connection to your home systems.

You're advocating PC players will just have to risk breaking company regulations if they want a fair shot at playing a game. It's all a bit harder to swallow for a company than you taking your phone with you to the toilet for an extended #2...

I'm not advocating anything at all for office drones who get monitored by their employers the same way D3 monitors its players. Believe it or not, some of us have jobs that treat us like human beings.

I hear you, mate. My boss is awesome, I can pretty much play MPQ as much as I want during the workday. And all he asks in return is that I occasionally fetch him a drink and provide sexual favors for him when his girlfriend is not around.

    I probably should mention that I'm self-employed, right? icon_mrgreen.gif
