can't speak for polkio but, being in a similar position as polkio (needed no villain covers), i participated in exactly two lightning tournaments for hero points + iso. during my lunch time, and before i went to bed. so i just assume he was farming iso/hero points as per usual.

Yes, Like I said before It was only for iso - bonus hero points are nice. I was 5th - Ranzera has a good team to fight againts.

I did last round .. because it was last round and I can get 7k iso per 1.5 hour so it is nice ratio.

Guys I maybe don't need covers but iso is always iso. Also I like this game. Sorry if I get covers which you really needed but you don't think that I will not participate in next events even when I don't need covers...

i don't need grey widows so i sit on my **** for this double shot tourney?

hero points are given out as top 2 for three of the tournaments. that's something everyone can benefit from.

To be honest, there's some grey area in bracketed tournaments. They are giving out a lot of covers in those, especially at 200 bracket size. Lightning rounds run in such a way where they give out 10 red magneto covers per week. Think about that.

Ranzera - I have to be frustrated to all of you when you attack me all the time during tourneys which ends 6 am my time and I need covers for first places and I get top 25

Honestly Ranzera, if you want others to act in good will you would do better to persuade them in a less aggressive fashion. I'm probably stating the obvious but all you're accomplishing is the opposite at the moment. As forgrim has said, many of the people who are ahead are already acting very charitably this week. Polkio declared which tourney he was going for before he went for them, and shared information about how to do well in these tourneys with those who cared to ask.

I know it might seem kinda annoying that people are spending this much effort just to get a small amount of HP (75 HP for 1.5 hours of work? Seriously just spend a few bucks on the game and take that time to do something more meaningful IRL). But once again, like forgrim has said, these covers also sell for ISO. And ISO is exorbitant in the store.

10 per week and you can win 10 per week. Of course it is harder. But in tourneys you can win let say 1 grey widow green cover per tournament so one per ... month? I think there was 3 tournaments from beginning with widow GS. You must also think about that.

agreed there, hood and magneto rounds are definitely different because of how top 2 are the only ones that are given the 3rd cover. personally i'd never compete in those because the time investment for literally...75 hero points is not my cup of tea.

but being called selfish because i competed in 3 lightning tournaments this week out of the 15 i really could've competed in was unnecessary and grinded my gears.

You know, in a twisted way, it actually benefits us "middle class" people if you guys at the top consistently win all the lightning tourneys to slow down the spread of these covers - there's no way I can participate in all of them to accomplish this. You guys controlling the flow of these covers actually gives us a better chance to get ahead by playing smart.

edit2: which reminds me, the teamwork on the forums is kinda hilarious too. DDD was aiming for a red cover in the rag tourney and i was playing d. line for him at the number 2 spot, aiming for people creeping up in score. U R WELCOME DDD.

The only thing that annoys me, as someone who doesn't like villians, is how ridiculously profitable these lightning rounds are. Good cards, good ISO, good HP. IMO, they really shouldn't give HP as prizes. Or alternatively, give only HP and then the cards to the lower placings.

They keep hiking up prices that hurt new/low-end players, because apparently people have too much HP. But it's really only the top players that can earn HP consistently.

The HP reward is quite miniscule ($1) worth for that effort and stress.
