It was good event BECAUSE of the uninteresting rewards. Veterans could laze it out -- and the others benefited from less competition.

Exactly. I completed each node for every sub exactly one time! I didn't need IM40, so didn't stress about this event at all. I kinda hope rewards for Juggs suck as well, as I enjoyed the casual way I played. A few guys in my alliance were as hardcore as usual and got the Storm cover, but most of us took a break.

I was pretty happy with the ISO-8 tokens though. I got a 3* from probably 40% of the tokens. Not sure if I had good luck, or if the odds were better than usual.

Agree was a good event. I didnt feel the need to grind so hard like tat other event. The Storm cover could have been attained if I played harder, but not worth the effort of another multiple day grind. We are we working so hard to get Storm?

I hated the event. For whatever reason, the first series of nodes never had the progress bar filled so only had 4-5 dots to play in.

That was a consequence of Season 2 ending two days into the PVE. The first couple of sub events didn't hit enough points to unlock the rest of the nodes because everyone was out grinding the Simulator or Lord of Thunder.

Aside from that, it seemed like a well-balanced event; I didn't find any ludicrously strong goon squads, the only node that I absolutely could not beat was one of the final sub-event ones - Hood / Ragnarok / Ares, I think it was. Hood constantly feeding the other two AP thanks to the Dread Dormammu, letting them spam their cheap abilities.

No, the amount you need to fill the first couple of subs were double compared to the later ones, because there's a history of D3 completely overestimating the number of players in such things. In fact, almost every event with such a mechanism required the bar to be dramatically lowered to hit the target.
