Who Should Be Limited?

I'd prefer goofy characters, but even limited, I just want something like the Howard pve or Bagman drops has a way to acquire them versus the DD method.0

I'm going to say...nobody should be limited. If the character is out there, you should be able to get tokens for them. If the character is so bad that they're limited because of that (Bagman and Yelena), then rework them so they're not terrible.0

While joke characters are fun to mess around with, we all know that because they aren't breaking any meta, no one will constantly use them either. Which leads me to the thought...
Why have them? Who as a developer actually enjoys sitting down to make something that isn't ever going to be considered 'good'? It seems to me that it would waste developer time.
That said, i would like to see the minions as limited 1* or 2* characters. Maggia muscle, sentry fighter, etc. Keep them as is too. Only the sentries can match, but have passive powers. Everyone else generates their AP and has powers but can't match.
If you're gonna make more joke characters, have them join the ranks of yelena and bagman... don't waste a 4 star slot on them, pretending that they're worth something when we all know that they can't be.
Oh... and I'm all in for Stan Lee as a limited too.

Be careful what you wish for. Remember last time we had a character that generated AP as a power and became used just as a battery. Look what happened then. The devs were force to nerf 3* and 5* Gambit.PiMacleod said:While joke characters are fun to mess around with, we all know that because they aren't breaking any meta, no one will constantly use them either. You know, I was starting a counter argument with examples, and meta thoughts, and more...Shintok17 said:

And then I stopped and erased my whole post. Because no one saw SpiderGwen coming down with cheap cherry bombs while Thing protected Gambit... until it was too late. No one saw people NOT fully covering a character to just make a battery. In this case, if they didn't change the powers text, they wouldn't even have to under cover the character. Maggia Don creating black? That'll be abused.
So never mind. There's a fundamental flaw involved right there. It's a shame, too. Would be neat to play a lackluster minion and see what you could do.0 -
It can still work if you give him a lot of health and let him make matches to earn AP. The health increase will balance him out since he has to wait until the countdown tiles expire to do any significant damage. By then he will be dead with normal health.PiMacleod said:

It could always be done with a Join Forces node. Limit when you get to use them, and who you get to use them against, so you aren't breaking normal PVP/PVE matches with a minion's AP generation, but still get the experience of playing with them. (could be MPQ's equivalent of an "escort mission", maybe a Maggia goon turns on the rest, and the good guys have to escort him to safety, or a Hand goon is revealed to be an undercover Shield agent who needs protection to maintain his cover, etc)PiMacleod said: It's a shame, too.
