Taskmaster is a cool design for a character. My one slight letdown (aside from the mega letdown of him being Limited) is that he just sort of summons the other characters' animations, so you see D3adpool take A Little Off The Top, rather than doing paintovers of all the animations where Taskmaster would jump in doing Nuts From Above instead. He kind of just comes in looking like Skeletor and contemplates the move, then it plays the other character's animation straight up. Just a missed opportunity for absurdity I guess.
So much this. I dont care that he is limited but skinning him into the animations should of been required.
Since these are learned abilities which already exist, there's nothing much to describe except for thinking which three abilities will complement one another.
True, although, his versions of the 4* abilities generally do more damage than the original version. The 2* and 3* abilities are, obviously, not easily comparable to their originals, but Sniper Rifle looks particularly good, as does Nuts From Above.
I will say my single blue covered Taskmaster had one of the easiest un-boosted first node Shield Training battles I've had since that system went live; save maybe Ghost or Chavez. Howard ended up going invisible so I had to use a ragnarok support to finish his final 300 or so hit points. I had loads of hp left, which is unusual.
"Taskmaster has the extraordinary ability to perfectly replicate any physical performance he has ever seen. He watched a professional football game? Now he can throw like a star quarterback. He saw Captain America on the news? Now he can mimic his combat style flawlessly.

No, the package says what in it underneath. Peggy and wasp.
This is how Taskmaster fare against the orignators of the abilities he learned at 5 powers, arranged according to the order of powers and abilities:
Note: X vs Y = Taskmaster vs that character
1st power (red):
1) A Little off the Top: 40% vs 65% 2) Against 4* Star-Lord: 2739 vs 2793; both countdown tiles have the same damage at 1157, up to 6 cd tiles 3) Against Nebula: 2434/2*199 attack tiles per 3 green ap vs 2272/180 attack tiles 4) Star Spangler Avenger: returns 6 red ap vs returns 10 red ap 5) against 4* Winter Soldier: 10912 or 15457 vs 9773 or 13800 6) against 4* Luke Cage: 9836 or 15742 vs 8463 or 13541
2nd power (blue)
1) Speed Shot: same effects 2) Billy Club: same effects 3) Nuts from Above: same effects 4) Do as Peggy Says: same effects but 5796 vs 5292 5) Ruthless Precision (Kate Bishop): same effects, same damage at 9925 6) Twin Pistols (3* The Hood) same effects
3rd power (black)
1) The Quack-Fu One-Two: 270 per green tiles destroyed vs 288 per green tiles destroyed 2)Nightstalker (3* Blade): steal 1 strongest enemy colour ap vs steal 3 ap 3)Shadow Step (4* Elektra): same effects but 920 damage vs 925 damage per trap tiles 4) Skull Cracker: same effects 5) Moonsilver Blades: same damage 6) Sniper Rifle: same effect but cost 4 less ap for Taskmaster; 15 ap vs 19 ap
I don't know how to calculate the damage of 2* and 3* power at level 270, so I skipped the damage comparison for them.
Generally speaking, Taskmaster deals the same damage or deals more damage against other copied 4* abilities most of the time. Even if he deals lesser damage than other 4*, the difference is not significant at all.
When it comes to comparing certain effects of abilities, he doesn't perform as well against 3*. For example, Deadpool, Captain America, Blade.
Based on the list of abilities available, Taskmaster can be built as a stun-machine, massive tiles destructor, countdown tiles spammer or pure damage machine. Personally, I would build him as a stun-machine 5/5/3 (Peggy's and Gamora's + Luke Cage's for damage).
There's a post in the Bugs sub-forum that says that the damage on the abilities learned from 2* and 3* Characters should be higher than it actually is. So hopefully, when they get it fixed, he'll be as good or better than the lower-tier Characters when using their powers.
I asked this in the anniversary thread but do you all think he’ll have a cover in the next savory taco vault. Dino is in there currently, I’m guessing Howard next, then mayybbee Taskmaster??

I greatly expect that he will be since Dino is currently as you noted. If Howard is in the next one, I think that becomes a guarantee for Taskmasteer being included following. Unless it would fail due to oversight of course.
Can you give Taskmaster teamups and if so, which of the powers is given? Is it randomly selected from his entire portfolio or just the ones he currently has equipped?
KGB
P.S. I *really* wish one of his powers would have been 1* Hawkeye's critical tile placement. That would have nicely helped his power set in the 4* and 4% arena's.
I'm betting he will be un-sendable, since he is basically sending powers that come from other characters. I just requested team ups and asked my alliance to send one, we'll see what happens.
Brigby Has anything been revealed about the mechanism for acquiring Taskmaster in the future? How "limited" is he going to be?
Good question! I don't have any information about that at the moment, however I'll be sure to ask the team about that, once they're back in the office tomorrow.
