First masterpieces

Some of these Masterpieces are more Mouse-terpieces.
I pulled an Aggravated Assault last night from a AKH pack. Not bad, but meh...0 -
got avatar of woe also. not sure if is a card or a math equation to figure out damage

I could see Avatar of Woe working well in combination with Knightly Valor, Brawler Plate, and something that pumps out token creatures regularly in a Sorin deck (for black/white). The combination of vigilance and berserker means you can kill a lot of tokens off quickly and get the AoW out with it's ability.0

Quick thought on Armageddon, maybe for use against an Energize or Devoid deck, or as a board wipe if there is no good gem bonuses available for you. A bit specialized like that though, any better ideas?0

my mistake got torment of hailfire.
"opponent takes x damage, where x is equal to the number of creatures your opponent controls multiplied by3 plus the number the number of supports your opponent controls times 2 plus the number of cards in your opponents hand."
wow and you thought algebra would never be used after school
my only guess is against a cycling deck that is in the process of beating you horribly but thats about it.
any ideas?

I was thinking run 1 creature Ob with tons of removal, lost legacy, and avatar. keep killing enemy creatures to reduce his cost. Also, if you have 2 in hand you get the benefit twice per kill.
Another option would be in L3, where you can kill your own creatures and bring them back as zombies. If you do it with something with an ETB or recursion them you could get some good synergy. Scrapheap, Heart of Kiran, etc.
I could also see killing a fleshbag marauder with L3's first, he comes back and kills an enemy creature for one of yours. 3 creatures dead in 1 loyalty ability adding 18 mana to all your avatars.
Anyway, at first I didn't like Avatar, but I now think he is one of the strongest creatures in the block and seems like a really fun combo piece.

My first masterpiece was Counterspell.
Pity me.

First was wrath of god. Lucky lucky pack.
while wait for my account to be found I made a toy around one. 2 new HOU packs both had torment of hailfire. Really odd spell0 -
This was where i was leaning also. My only decision is I have very low Mana runes. I am just about at what I need to level a mono pw from 0-60. My ob nix is lvl 1 so I can either wait for Lil 3 in shop and go for her or level ob nix now lol. My current black PW is Lil 1 so either are going to be a good upgradebabar3355 said:I was thinking run 1 creature Ob with tons of removal, lost legacy, and avatar. keep killing enemy creatures to reduce his cost. This doesn't work actually. Token creatures do not go into the graveyard like normal creatures, they get exiled.TheDragonHermit said:I could see Avatar of Woe working well in combination with Knightly Valor, Brawler Plate, and something that pumps out token creatures regularly in a Sorin deck (for black/white). I find that running Avatar of Woe in a discard themed deck would work better as you will guarantee cards going into the graveyard!

Avatar of Woe just says when a creature dies, not when a creature is sent to the graveyard, I think you are thinking about the Lord of Extinction. That has all sorts of amusing combo potential. I am still thinking about what to go with though.HomeRn said:

Anyone have L3? She's in the upcoming PW shop now so need to decide if I want to wait for her or level my Ob Nix0
-
I could see Day's Undoing or Fumigate as good setups for Lord of Extinction, destroy everything then unleash a huge Lord0
-
Days undoing destroys nothing.
Commons misconception.0 -
It still puts things in the graveyard right?0
-
it shuffles the cards back into the library

Thanks to L3 I got a perfect score in the last Trial of Ambition. Absolutely wonderful for "lose X or more creature" objectives. You can literally synergize her with any creature that has a strong ETB mechanic, and she works well with vehicles since the Crew mechanic also triggers with her first ability.
Takes some getting used to since you get no mana from regular White swaps. You don't get any from Green until you level her up.
