Quicksilver is one of my lowest level Three-stars (only Punisher, Hawkguy and Starlord are lower level), so I am quite looking forward to new covers for him!0

Patch is one of my highest (thank you 2* farm!). I'm nearly at max champed 3*, so appreciate the 2 covers coming in progression.0

If I didn't need the Jessica Drew progression cover and the Quicksilver placement covers, I think I'd be sitting this one out. Every time it comes around, I think "perhaps it's not as bad as I remember".
Then it's worse.
I enjoy a bunch of the PvEs that other people hate (EotS is my favourite, and I genuinely enjoy Venom Bomb) but I do not like this one.
I do like the nice Iso bonus from the final node, though. Almost makes it worth it.0 -
The only first round headache for me was the Ice Man/Storm/SWtich essential node. I think Ice Man got All of the blue every time. There were times all three of my characters were stunned. That's a looooong stun for not too many blue.

I still have bad memories of the last time I participated in this PVE. I got destroyed by the later Sims, wasted numerous health packs, and lost all interest in this event.
Even with a better build of characters as of now, I don't see myself participating in this one again. I just don't like this PVE. Which means I'll be missing out on some free covers and HPs. Oh well. If it means no need to waste sources, I'll gladly hold an L and wait for the next PVE.0 -
I was finally set to beat them on my second attempt at round 4 with IM40 and Cap, I had 2 of caps red countdowns ready to expire when a virtual sh!t Storm erupted and a fury of hail and brimstone rained down upon my head cascading a series of matches resulting in critical tiles being generated and my 2 red count downs being matched up at the same time only to be followed by continuous freezing and yada yada yada..... game over.SirHuggyBear said:The only first round headache for me was the Ice Man/Storm/SWtich essential node. Yeah, I gave up on the CP from that one, since my 1-black-cover Spider-Woman couldn't stay alive and I didn't want to waste the health packs. I was only planning on playing for the 4* progression, but I dislike this PVE so much and am not too interested in Spider-Woman so I may not even do that.That aside, I have enjoyed playing around with a 3*Fist, 4*Cage & Wasp team after seeing them in the first round and then getting a lucky Cage cover from a Heroic token this morning. With both Fist & Wasp boosted, they're packing quite a punch. Unfortunately, my Cage is only 4/4/0, but who needs red?

Went with 3storm, medusa, bl4de. If you can get storm's black off then the team heal negates the constant attacks from coulson and starlord, and medusa's purple gives you a shot at stealing some nice strike tiles.iron-n-wine said:Wow. That Coulson, star lord & carol node on day 2. Wow.0 -
I've just had a surprisingly fun time running with Patch, Medusa and Agent Venom in Patch's essential node.
It will likely be downhill from now on, but I've decided to play for progression only, because otherwise I'll drive myself nuts. It's kind of nice not stressing about timers and health packs. I should do this more often.0 -
I find Medusa to be a lot more fun/entertaining than the usual suspects I roll with. Unfortunately her durability is always a concern between matches and the matches take much longer to complete, but again...more fun. Sadly the treadmill that is mpq requires I forgo "fun" a lot of the time.

I manage to beat that node using boosted 3Mag, Switch and Quicksilver with only Quicksilver left standing with 1000+ health. A lot of time the countdown just went off surprising me due to Coulson's purple passive. I used Carol Peggy and Medusa. Just collected AP until I had enough blue for Peggy to stun Star Lord and Carol and finish off Coulson.0
