For reaching up and beating a team with far more health and power, some amount of magic is needed. Mostly, that means AP Stealing, AP Generation, and Stunning. So who are the most magical characters among the bottom 40? A lot of the best "magic" abilities are
.
STUNNING -- What are the best stuns in the bottom 40? All the best Stun skills are. Maintaining a stun is important against high-level freaks, so Cap and Daredevil go to the top. When alliance members ask for Team-ups, 1* Black Widow is quite good.
26. 3* Daredevil -- 9Stun 2 (RECYCLE), High damage, remove Special tiles
47. 2* Captain America -- 12Stun 2 (RECYCLE), PLACE
51. 1* Black Widow (Modern) -- 9Stun 5/1x3,
AP Stealing
38. 2* Storm (classic) -- 11Stun 4 and nuke,
AP Generation
31. 3* Spider-Man -- 5Stun 1+, Protect
56. 1* Venom -- 7Stun 1x3, Devour

30. 3* Iron Man (Model 40) -- AP Generation, 20+Stun 2
COLOR MANIPULATION -- Placed tiles are best, andis more useful, so MN Mags is on top. Among top characters, X-Force, cMags have good Color control.
42. 2* Magneto (Marvel Now) -- For 9, PLACE 5
, 14
AP generation
21. 3* Black Widow -- For 11, PLACE 6
22. 3* Rocket and Groot -- Withmatch, destroy all

Stun 2
39. 2* Thor -- For 8, add 3
, for 12

32. 3* Storm (Mohawk) -- For 9collect 7

35. 3* Ragnarok -- For 6, add 4
46. 2* Captain Marvel -- For 8, add 9
49. 2* Bullseye -- For 16, PLACE 2
AP GENERATION -- These are harder to rank, because none are truly awful. Among top characters, 4 Thor, Hood, X-Force, Blade, and Captain Marvel have good AP generation.

Counter Manipulation

51. 1* Black Widow (Modern) -- 10+AP Steal, 9
Stun
23. 3* Loki -- Steal 8AP on Opponent 4-match, Steal special tiles.
20. 3* Mystique -- AP Steal,->

36. 4* Invisible Woman -- 139

OTHER MAGIC -- A few bottom 40 characters that haven't been mentioned yet.
19. 3* Falcon -- Enhance,Protect, Remove Special tiles.
24. 3* Colossus -- Team protect, Nuke
34. 3* She-Hulk --Steal Special tiles,
AP Drain, high health
MN Mags and Captain America can be surprisingly good against high-level foes.
MN Mags pairs up very well with Mystique. Hismakes
for her, her
makes
for him. Add in Captain Marvel for a
stun.

Since when is single target stun enough to stun a team with 3 guys to move the board? Or are we assuming the 395 team doesn't have 3 guys that can move the board? This can significantly reduce the difficulty of the challenge. You can't even stun a team for longer than 5 turns even if you started out with 30 AP of whatever color you need (3 staggeered Winow's Stings), let alone actually trying to collect that AP before your team gets rolled over. Realistically the cheapest team stun you're going to get is 6 blue AP for 2 turns from Captain America which requires you to have 36 blue AP at some point (you can stagger the Peacemakers to account for that you can only have 30 at once), but even if you could start with 36 blue AP, you're not going to be able to collect 6 blue every 2 turns because the board cannot possibly keep up with that rate of replenishment. Nothing else is even close to this ratio.0

Correct. Depends on the Goon ratio. With 2 Goons, stunning the non-goon can be a key to winning. Hailstorm, Cap's shields, She-Hulk's steals are also helpful.
If there are no goons, it is absolutely vital to take down at least 1 opponent before a Stun strategy has any chance at all. Pretty much only Daredevil or Captain America can do it. MN Mags or IM40 and Boosts are needed for the blue. The first goals are to getfor a Magnetic Flux in a good spot, and to kill one opponent. I've done this against Level 395 Ares, Daken, Yelena. Ares was my first target, and first to stun. Polarity Shift was used to remove
from the board except for the red tile I wanted (which also nerfed Daken). Everything went to damaging and stunning Ares, since he was instant Death, and
denial for Daken. When Ares finally toppled, Cap was my only character standing, but he had a lot of bouncing shields on the board. Still took forever to take down Daken, and then to finally take down Yelena. It's very hard to do, but possible.

Oh you added more people and this would be a fun one to try. I don't have the levels and covers for her yet but IM40, Gamora, OBW. you build up enough black for Gamora and hit recharge with IM40. You just need a quality board shake up as a TU like unstoppble crash to add more yellow to the board. You then have Gamora tanking basicly every color and and gives out super strike tiles. You also get a ton of red AP to have Gamora start hammering the other team. You also have 2 stuns in Gamora's green and IM40's Blue, but you might need OBW's blue more to heal.
With Gamora's strike tiles when you match OBW purple it will do major damage with espionoge.
Only issue is when OBW gets squished for having no health. Good thing she would only tank purple though.0 -
