The newest character rankings are going up daily, and we already know the the bottom thirty. Based on the rankings, what is the worst ranked team that could have a chance against a high level team? Boosts are allowed. Team-ups from the bottom 30 are allowed.
My entries:
30+36+42 = 108 could do it, IM40 - IW - MN Mags.
AP Gathering strategy with Recharge (10
), Force Bubbles (13
), Polarity Shift (9
), Magnetic Flux (14
), and Force Field Crush (9
). When the AP engine finally gets going, they've won the game. If they can get that far.
33+42+47 = 122 could do it. Ares + MN Mags + Capt America
Stunlock strategy. Ares and MN Mags must take out 1 opponent before they die while gathering
. When Cap has enough shields flying around, the battle is a lock, though it might take a long time.

29. 2* Black Widow (original)
34. 3* She-Hulk
Can take out any level 395 Goon team. Ideally, you want OBW to tank blue for She-Hulk. Throw in any random third that you like. 2Y IM40 can generate red and blue which would be helpful.0 -

So the objective is to get a viable team out of the bottom characters, with the highest number from the aggregate ranking?
31. 3* Spider-Man
42. 2* Magneto (Marvel Now)
44. 2* Hawkeye (modern)
117 total, you got protect tiles while you build up pink..err..purple, to get Mags to make blue matches to trigger Mawk's Speed Shot and give Spidey blue to stun. Brilliant.0 -
It really depends on the team...if it's goons you have far more options than if it's regular characters.....
I could see 31 + 42 + 56 working (Spiderman/MNMags/Venom) if you can get enough webs to Devour...that team is 1290 -
Assuming we're talking lv395s that actually move the board and do match damage, I don't see how anything in here would actually work. Most of these look like a good start, but when the opposition has 70k health or higher, I'm not seeing any AP loops that'd be necessary to keep these guys alive.0
-
Unless its a 3x 395 4* team or goons its basically undoable because of the match damage. My A-team loses to 395s if they get a lucky 2x 4 cascade and dealing over 2k match damage.0

For a team that moves the board you would need spiderman, storm, im40. Spidey protects, while storm rains down hailstorm damage and generates AP with green. IM40 uses recharge for more AP generation. ballistic salvo might be over cost but it is still one of the most powerful AOE in the game and his red will do 5K damage as well. Hailstorm would finish off anyone left.
It is not a good team, but if you can boost AP this team can win against non elite 395 teams
Edit: just used this team 140 IM40 100 storm, 91 spidey against falcon 2 goons in hard simulator at level 211. I got hit with a meteoric hammer and that killed IM40 but it worked exactly as I explained.0 -
It seems to me people talking about the 395s must confuse enemies in the low 200s with 395s. At 395 a low HP enemy has 14K HP. The tanky guys have 20-25K HP. You can start the game with 30 AP of all colors and pour it all into damage with the listed characters and you might be able to take out one guy and then the two guys remaining can probably kill you with just match damage, not that they're obliged to not use any of their moves that will almost surely kill anyone in the game.0

It seems like Spidey so you don't die from match damage and either 1 or 2 star BW for AP steal is an absolute necessity or you'll just die from attrition no matter how good your strategy0 -
Spider-man+mnmags can kill any team given enough time. Add any damage dealer. Mohawk does it nicely.0
-
I wish i could see video of this. Protect tiles are good to stall match damage, but when the opponents attacks are going to do 7k damage or more, time doesnt seem like itd be on your side0
-
This is what I would say about the bottome 30, especially the 3-4*. Outside of Beast they can all work as part of your team. Look at the survival mode where spiderman excelled. IW was able to actually be used in ths mode with her bubble power. The 395 teams are kind of like survival mode. You need someone to heal, someone to accelerate AP, and some one to lay down the hammer. Yes if the 395 team gets a power off they will kill one of your 3, but the real issue with a 395 team is match damage. If you can protect, stun, heal to limit this then you can win. I 40, Storm, and Doom can all do significant damage to kill a 395 opponent. It is putting the right protection around them to keep them alive to do the damage0

When you fight against 395's any ability will wipe you (including defensive ones), the objective is to never let them get one off. Against a slow team IM40 Punisher OBW is a great team that can handle 395's.0 -
Guys, the neglected fact: when a low level team try to challenge high level ones, you need to face countless cascade...which means the matching damage will kill you instantly...0
-
It's worth noting that none of these strategies are reliable against high-level foes, and it's likely that most team members will die before the strategy kicks in.
Due to AI luck, a strategy mentioned here might only work one out of ten tries. The strategies aren't all that fast, and can fall apart. But they sometimes work.0 -

You know what is fun about these teams especially since we are running the simulator is you can try out some peoples teams if you have a deep roster. I have run IM40, Storm, Spiderman a couple of times for wins on the hard simulator. I don't use health packs on them, and if they all die well they are not my A team. If I got wiped out with this team, which I have not, I would not be upset becuase they would be my D team at best. Have fun with the bottom 30 on this list. Who knows you might find out that some of these characters are actually very playable.0 -
To echo what others have said about 395 teams, when I used MN Mags/Storm/Hawkeye (Mags was boosted, but the others were only level 83--my highest non-boosted) against a 395 goon node in Simulator: Hard, my whole team got wiped out by a single caltrops match3 defensive trap. I can't imagine any 1 or 2-star roster reliably beating a 395 group...0
