I also 100% stopped spending any money on the game when it stopped being fun. If I play 25 minutes a day now, that's a lot. If they can't even be bothered to fix it when it's broken, or TALK to us on the official forum about it, they don't deserve it.

And this is insane behavior. If it's not fun why are you still spending your time on it? Is your time worth less than money? Is there no more fun activity you could be doing with your free time?

Because the time I spend on the toilet is not particularly valuable to me. It drives me crazy when people make arguments like this one. I can watch TV and play. I can sit on a toilet and play. I don't feel like there's a HUGE number of things that would drastically improve my day if I switched to them during that 20 minutes.

Because I don't view everything as what have you done for me lately. I've spent a lot of time here. I've spent a lot of time playing. My roster is loaded. I don't get the same satisfaction out of watching a movie I've seen 52000 times, but if Star Wars is on while I'm vacuuming, why turn the channel? If I don't enjoy hanging with a particular friend as much as I used to, I also don't ghost them. This isn't complicated philosophy.

And because games evolve. This game isn't what it was two years ago, which also wasn't what the game was two years before that. I can't know if things improve if I'm not playing at all. And I'm part of an alliance I would still like to be part of if the game does get fun again.

Imagine getting to the end of your life and reflecting on your deathbed:

"Sure, I wasted thousands of hours on my phone playing a toilet game for babies, but at least I hated every second of it!"

You can find something else to do. Why be angry while you poop? Read a book! Find a different game! An addiction is something that you continue to do after you stop enjoying it.

Also...if you don't like hanging out with someone anymore you should absolutely ghost them. If your job sucks you should quit. Loyalty is stupid, especially loyalty to fake online friends or to a game that's no fun. Enjoy your life.

Your interpretation of what I said is wildly off from what I actually said.

And that last paragraph just makes me feel bad for you.

I guess "people should play games that they actually enjoy" is a take that's simply too controversial for this forum.

I'm going to go download Colonoscopy Simulator and play that for 20,000 hours while I whine on their forums about how much it sucks.

Long exasperated sigh... Sure. All that. Whatever.

The internet is a world of extremes. If I'm not enjoying this game, clearly the reason I still play is I'm a cutter. If I voice my opinion, I'm probably doing it from a ledge somewhere. And all of this is super important to me when I put the phone down. I'm also nowhere near as successful in life as I could be because I use this game as a fidget spinner instead of reading a new book.

    Give me a break.

I'm just tired of the negativity in this community (and not even specifically on this forum). Of course we're all annoyed by little stuff but on balance I'm still having fun.

I want to talk about strategy and combos and what the metagame looks like and who pairs up with who and what the weird supports do. I don't want to talk about boycotts and player ultimatums and "game is dying unless they do X" and "devs are evil" and "cash grab" and whatever else everybody is spending all their energy complaining about today.

It seems like 95% of the vets are just burnt out and want to complain about everything, constantly and it just turns the community so toxic. If your first thought when you see a new character is "I wonder what stupid bug he has" or "just a cash grab" or "useless garbage" instead of "I wonder if he works in a combo with X" or "I bet I could go infinite with Y," like what are you doing? Why are you still here? How does that add to the community?

Eh. This game sucks anyway. Hopefully MPQ will be dead soon, then I'll finally be free! Plus I can gloat to the developers about how they'd still be around, if only they'd have listened to me.

Can't wait to do it all again tomorrow!

Glad to see you don't find anything you're saying to be toxic.

What? No way! It's definitely not toxic to cheer for the game to die, because I'd love to quit but I'm too weak to walk away from a phone game.

Plus, think about how great it'll be when we can tell them that it died because they took away our cover swaps! Sure, it'll be gone, but who cares. The important thing is that we're RIGHT.

So I see Iron Man Cosmic’s main power is a passive that derails conversations and causes fights. Is he secretly Eris in disguise?

I actually think he's pretty cool and has a lot of good combo potential.

I just wish he was in any other game, and not the absolute worst video game that's ever been created, literally a crime against humanity, one that's so painful to play that honestly just thinking about it makes me physically ill.

Another approach inspired by another poster on another platform, sharing for the record to domeonstrate that even this terrible visual design doesn't have to look so bad. Can be saved by the rendering.

"A toilet game for babies" but you need to win it soooooo much that you "hate" all and any competition? I'm starting to wonder if you are just an angry AI stuck on repeat, lol.

I don't get it. What's the gotcha there?

I enjoy playing the game right now.

I'm not waiting for some never-gonna-happen hypothetical future and hate-playing until then. Or carrying out some weird grudge against the developers by trying to outlast them or prove some point to them that they'll never see and don't care about anyway.

If it ever stopped being fun, for a second, I'd be gone. My time is far too valuable to do anything I don't enjoy.

It just seems that you describe the game in the most condescending way possible but then passionately defend it with your life, it's a weird contradiction. But enough of all that, you're having a good time, Iron Man has his enormous cannon back, things are just fine.

Yet spends most of the working day responding to just about any post in here, baiting, being condescending and gaslighting for fun?

Yeah something doesn't add up. Your time isn't that valuable, obviously.

This checks out, so long as he finds the interactions on here fun (even if they are are baiting, being condescending and gaslighting). I reckon he absolutely does, or he’d have followed his own advice and quit these forums a long time ago!

I really like Iron Man, he is so much fun! It makes me really sad we don't have any quests to do to earn some more shards for him.
