Any word on how the shard rewards for progression and placement will vary now that we have two six stars?

I still have only 1 cover of Galactus. It will be a long long time before this becomes usable. Although 1/1/1 spider-man is better than galactus 1/1/1.

This has instant synergy with pretty much all the Spider and totem dagger seems obvious choice for support.

If given the choice I would focus on this over galactus.

Phew! I was just thinking, 'All these 6s, when will we finally get a Spider-Man?'
But... Yeah. Will we be able to favorite 6
s to direct where the 6* shards go, or for you intend to never let people fully cover these characters?

Those might be some of the worst ability effects in the game. Also assuming that MCU Spidey is the costume based on the screenshot?

….MCU Spidey already exists as a character, though.

I mean I’ll wait until I see it in action but my guess is they used MCU Spidey as part of an animation showing him get the Cosmic costume he wears.

In the original story he looked normal for like 3 or 4 issues, and halfway through the final one he got the Capt Universe costume. Which lasted like 5 pages before all his power left.

Looks like a lot of fun, will be happy to slowly accumulate—er, "chase"—over the course of 2026. Obvious 6★ favorite over sleepy Galactus.

Rendering appears to be by same artist that wrecked Sable, and again has a somewhat compressed torso and slight spinal issue, but thanks to full face mask, another disaster was avoided.

Cover choice .... here's hoping for another last second swap 😆

Anyway, thanks to those involved for a bright spot as our elderly game begins its 13th year ... !

We've been talking about the possibility of Cosmic Spider-Man as a 6-star character basically ever since we got two normal Spideys as 5's. People complain "oh great another Spider-Man" but honestly, good. I WANT to get to play Spider-Man at the top tier of the game. Hell, I'm still annoyed we never got a nano-suit Iron Man (MCU or comic) at the 5-star tier, even with already having one for Civil War.

I honestly figured we'd get 3-4 cosmic/6-star characters before they gave us Spidey, but I am 100% here for it, and getting him 2nd just means I'll be able to use him sooner. The web/crit stuff looks like a good chance for chaotic fun.

People complain about all the Spider characters, and I get it, but there's never been a legit web tile meta team. The closest thing is Chasm and he's not really "about" web tiles. Pair this dude with a web tile spammer and it'll get dumb.

"Convert 5 Web tiles into Critical tiles" Begs to differ.

And you should only assume there are multiple at effects going on with that power from the screenshot.

Are people just trying to be negative for the sake of making Debbie Downer seem optimistic at this point?

Ah I see the confusion. Not the power effect, the character effects that play when you fire the powers themselves. Very bland and just show the same character model shrunken or enlarged with some sparkles.

The powers themselves seem very powerful and usable even at a cover or two. He seems much more non-covered friendly than Galactus, especially when paired with pre-nerf Shang-Chi, 4a5 Chavez/Karnak, etc

With just 1 Red cover he will be incredibly dangerous with spammy web tile partners (looking at you 2099) because for 6 AP he will be turning a whole bunch of web tiles into critical tiles.

Even the passive on the Red will deal a lot of extra damage when you match/destroy web tiles (makes Silk a nice partner too since she will be constantly destroying web tiles triggering his passive damage).

He's going to be a beast compared to Galactus. Of course he lacks any defense against stun/away/airborne so winfintes should take him down quick.

The power design is practically AI proof. Fire yellow then red on 'lucky' block and... Profit!!!

He looks like an absolute beast! Certainly way more scary than Galactus. Looking forward to giving him a try. Hopefully they’ll start letting us target which 6* to farm soon 🤞🤞
