In DDQ you get precisely one node that allows you to create a team of 3 characters of any tier without any restrictions or essential.
Which is better than nothing but not the same as the Tower which has been completely open choices for who to use.
Also the Tower nodes aren’t basically done in two seconds if you want to run things like 5s and/or Galactus so you can retreat if you wanted and not accidentally finish it off before you want to stop.
Anyway I like the Tower so far in general.

Uhm, maybe I am going mad but it isn't working for me? Do I need to update the game or something? The "1" node won't open? I'm on Android in case this is device specific.

The other ended at 2800 so it's fair to assume it's just another issue where is not working as intended.
I'm going to assume no one will get rewards until it's fixed and that will likely be a late fix doing who knows what to the event or they will send out the rewards as compensation.
I'm not too worried about it, but they do seem to be having trouble doing anything at all without it producing another issue.

No one on Android has it.
The build needs to end in ....973, which was only pushed to Steam and iOS.
Also yes the scoring is screwed up for everyone who can play it.

At this point you might as well be employed by the Devs because we get more information from you than we do from them.

Just a bit surprised, even now, that a whole day went by and they didn't say anything about the Broken Tower at all - nothing about the scoring situation or that they're investigating or anything like that.

Scoring isn't fixed. Also, half the nodes unlocked yesterday. That seems to be for the timing issue of too many nodes, not enough days.

FYI the nodes work as follows, based on the two halves: each day you can play two nodes or not. As the days pass, you can play up to the day that the event is at, at any time. So you could let 9 days of nodes sit and play them all on the 10th day, for example. The game doesn’t restrict you to playing 2 nodes/1 day per day. Just up to the currently opened nodes.
Scoring is broken because the first half was set up as the main hub and anyway it’s been laid out elsewhere. You can’t get the second half rewards because the points go up from a sub event to the hub, never down to a sub event from the hub.

I was just coming to say this. Looks like this should have really been Sub 2, but Sub 1 is acting like the parent event. I checked & sure enough have 3900 points for the event, but nothing for the sub.
I'm guessing this is also why the sub didn't open on time, it was probably waiting for the first one to close but of course the event timer never ran out. Should be a relatively easy fix for future releases at least.

I don’t know… can someone tell me why I should fight lvl 500 Opponents and above to get a 3* cover as reward in like the middle of the nodes? Is it just for the challenge?

Seems like the thing to do…
I think everybody needs different incentives. For me, the inherent fun of a or a chain of challenging fights with fleeting completion status isn’t rewarding enough in its own rights. Maybe I need a little nudge to enter the fight.
So maybe my question was to point this out, not to get the most obvious answer in the world.
