By the way - just to clarify why am I asking for amounts of tokens obtained? Well then we can get to an objective level of what is fair use or not. Phumade said he obtained “less than 100” but that was in a very short span of time. However if that is the objective total of more of the player base great. We have a measuring stick. Then we can determine who the cheats are!

    I got about 10 tokens.

I still believe "cheat" is the wrong word. No rules were broken. The game gives you a token over and over again. Relying on players to "follow the honor system" instead of fixing the game seems like a bad strategy.

Seems like you would have nothing to worry about?

I was never worried about myself. I'm not here to defend myself. It's a discussion forum, and I'm complaining to the devs that they're going about this the wrong way. A way that's upsetting a playerbase that's already upset because of a buggy update.

We are not all on the same team.

This game is not players vs devs, it's players vs players. If somebody gets extra stuff that I didn't get, that doesn't disadvantage the devs, it disadvantages ME. We are all in competition with each other and I have zero reason to defend someone who's trying to compete with me.

And you are the appointed member of the player base? If so cool but I never knew there was a union or how to join?

Of course you are free to express anything you want and the Devs have **** this up, I agree. Just not seeing much from the player base Union side to say “Oh OK yeah we exploited the hell out of this!”

Where did I say that have to listen to my individual voice? Stop making assumptions. I'm one forum member posting my opinion on their forum. Same as you.

I have no idea who "exploited the hell out of this". But again, if this was known behavior that's been around for weeks, why wasn't it hot patched sooner? How come communication only came out yesterday, and only on the forum but with no notice in the game?

If it wasn’t you then you have nothing to be concerned about and you can 100% be upset with things.

I've answered your question. There is no objective normal play pattern. Its a failed goal to say you can derive a standard level of play, unless your going to specify the snipers, the bakers, the connected.

My answer is always the same. accepted the consequences for the bugged release. put in review processes and management review checkpoints. have open communications with all stakeholders.

better management workflows will stop these issues from flaring into us vs them discussions.

A couple of questions for you DAZ0273. When are they going to fix the many, many bugs they just put in the wild?

When are they going to make amends for dropping the ball in every facet of this switch to Unity?

When you have some solid answers on that, then by all means start polling folks for how many tokens they got. Until then maybe, just maybe they should worry more about patching together the massive turd they have dumped on us with this launch and then later worry about who "exploited" those cracks. That they created. Not us. Them.

Oh I see. So players are not responsible for their own behaviour and also unwilling to admit to anything? That’s fine but if the Devs do roll you back maybe they might have had a different viewpoint if you had fessed up. I get it, players can’t admit to wrongdoing. I mean it’s not even as though it is hard to understand the lure of doing this exploit but of course no, never player responsibility. I assume you are a record breaker at 100 plus! :D

How many tokens are you entitled to for putting up with the bugs? What's a suitable level of "amends" (LOL) for the brutal psychic torture inflicted on you by a (gasp!) buggy, laggy superhero toilet game?

You answered none of my questions! In fact your post specifically waffles on about something else? How many tokens did you exploit? If all of this is legit then why are you hiding? You can tell me any number and I won’t know. The Devs will though.

Aside from any shenanigans that may or may not be going on with tokens is the game working properly right now? Who is responsible for the game being bugged? Is it you and me? Or is it the devs?

You can stump for the developers and have anger towards perceived cheaters. But this ultimately falls on the doorstep of the folks who make the game. They put out a bugged product. Folks told them for weeks it was broken. They did nothing to ameliorate that. I'm sure there are folks who are gaming this hard. I'm just having a much harder time being as angry with them than I am with the folks who caused the problem, let the problem fester and then doubled down and gave the ability to cheat to a much wider group of players.

I’m not angry with anyone. I understand the game is in a bad state (I haven’t even tried it today) but I go back to my broken window looting scenario - maybe you are a disgruntled Sony customer who thinks you are entitled to whatever you can get whilst that window is broken or maybe you aren’t and you walk on by. All I am asking is which one are you? I don’t understand why the Devs can’t board their window up but I sure as hell can want to know which of my customers are content to rifle my stock.

Now if the average Sony customer looted 3 TVs well then the Devs have to write that off. But if we have guys taking 20 or more, why should we not think that meets the definition of egregious?

Amends was probably a poor choice of words.

I own a business. I occasionally make boneheaded mistakes. When I do I don't passive aggressively threaten my customers for taking advantage of my mistakes. I apologize for the mistake and if possible try to make things right for the customer. When I can't I take that on the chin. This switch to Unity isn't going well. Adding fuel to that fire with this thread didn't help any of that.

This thread should have been an apology for the bad rollout with a loose roadmap to when things were getting fixed. Any exploiters should have been reached out to directly rather than a mass message on their various social channels. Compounding the bad rollout with a recrimination thread was real bad process on their end. Especially when you take into account the fact that they knew about this bug for weeks, did nothing about it and then still rolled it out anyway to more and more accounts.

Yes this is a toilet game. It is also a business. I'm not asking for extra tokens. They are literally just handing them to me. I'm asking for them to apologize for the way they conducted their business. And to not threaten me for things they did.

You on the other hand are asking for extra tokens to "make you whole". I think 5000 was the number?

I will also just put this here again - just own it. We all suffer lapses of judgment. We all get get sucked in by opportunity and greed. If you did it, you did it. No big deal. All this doubling down on why it is somebody else that compelled you to or whatever is just so counterproductive. Stop blaming the Devs for your choice. Continue blaming the Devs for everything else they have **** up.

    Let’s get our game back.

And what will you do when they don't give you the apology that you feel entitled to? Keep playing their game and complaining about it on their forum? They're betting you won't walk away (and so am I, honestly). You have one actual way to make an actual impact. Quit or don't.

And yeah, if these extra tokens are fair compensation for a buggy rollout, then I'm also entitled to that compensation!

If they roll me back I'll bounce. If they don't I'll complain on these forums when they do things I disagree with and give kudos when they do things I like. Pretty much what I've been doing for years here.

And I'm sure you'll circular "logic" around as well. Like you've been doing for years.

I'm not mad at you, I'm glad you are here advocating for token communism. I'm glad Daz is here trying to play witch finder. Honestly getting more out of the forums these past two days than I have out of the game since the devs broke it so fantastically. Hopefully they see their way to fixing it. I'm hopeful they get it sorted. I'd love to know how many minutes I have left on my shield.

Exactly. They can continue to inflict these horrific war crimes on you with impunity -- you'll never quit, you'll just keep taking whatever offensive slop they dish out.

I'm glad you're advocating for token theft. Stick it to the man! After all, we all get a cut of whatever extra rewards those players take! They're striking a blow for justice!
