You don't need any special counter to beat Polaris/mthor. I beat them every chance I see them in pvp with whatever boosted team I'm using. Target Polaris first and she goes down fast from match damage even when she's 550.

Very rarely do they ever get a chance to do much. I much rather take on 550 polaris/mthor than 672 whatever the best boost team is

You generally can't kill her with match damage though, because they always have Leapfrog and she'll go invisible unless you burn all the charges right away.

I just try to have some kind of fast AoE or targeted board destruction, but it's annoying because you only have 3 or 4 turns before they'll cascade you for essentially infinite damage.

In my experience they usually don't have leap frog equipped, probably cause mthor will just blow up their own invisibility tiles.

That's crazy because we play the same slice (albeit at very different times!).

Probably 95% of the nontrivial fights I take have Leapfrog equipped -- even during events like Omega Red's boost week where it's going to do basically nothing for them.

I'm not sure if it's the only support they've got, or they're just afraid to not run it.

Probably the difference is that I start early and you play late. I get to hit alot of the people that don't care about pvp and only climb to maybe 700 or 800 points and don't bother to shield and never retaliate. You play at the very end when everyone who is still out are usually the people that care about pvp and are trying to climb.

You have no idea. This game had a little bit of a weird system from the beginning. Then the boost system started coming in and the support system started coming in. It's getting worse and the development team doesn't even seem to want to improve. It's either give up and leave or accept it

The Thor/Pol teams I see usually have leapfrog on Polaris. So much so, I just assume leapfrog when I see Polaris.

I'm always surprised when she doesn't go invisible on first hit.

Even at ascended 550 though invisible Polaris may be difficult to hit with match damage, but Ascended Namor doesn't care, or AoE. There are options, as you said.

Almost every single team I come up against with Polaris has Leapfrog, in fact I'm surprised if they DONT have it now and it's funny that their own Jane rarely destroys it lol damn A.I

Its frustrating because all of these frustrations could definitely be fixed with minor tweaks to characters' kits or have a mode where you can pick your own characters without supports but still earn continuous rewards.
