Which 3*** to dump HP into?

I have a 2/2/1 lvl 41 classic Spidey, a lvl 68 0/5/3 Hood and a lvl 15 0/1 (Red) Rag. Of those 3 which would you dump HP into? I also have 1 or 2 covers of all the other villains but they are not the high priority right now.

Spidey - good all around character, very nice for PvE and PvP, already decently leveled and gets buffed in a number events (the current red ISO and the recently completed Heroic Venom)
Hood - great support character and fantastic against AI and buffed to really good tank/DPS in lightning rounds, but need that first elusive yellow cover to start the HP dumping
Rag - fantastic when buffed in lightning rounds, but needs the most amount of HP to be able to level to decent levels, but can be used to get other villain covers if the lightning rounds continue

Long term, I think Rag is best but requires the most amount of HP but can be used to get more 3*** covers if (big if) the current lightning rounds giant villain buff continues. For PvE Spidey wins and is already decently developed and has all 3 covers. The Hood is an outside shot, but is the best developed.

Which would you dump HP into?

I would say spidey because you have all the covers and is a great all rounder
Ragnarok's full awesomeness kicks in at 5 Red covers but without green his level will be restricted

Rag at 5 red 0 green can be used as a great battery for grey suit widow or others that have good green abilities

Your Hood is already maxed for optimal build, 5/5/3.

Spidey 2/5/1 is good enough, IMO. He's a stun monster and support characters don't really need to be max lvl.

5 red Rags makes most sense to me after getting 5 blue for Spidey. I wouldn't use HP on green Rags.

Honestly I would got Ragnarok red. A 3/0 Ragnarok is good enough to carry you through the lightning rounds and get you at least his green ability.I have managed to get into the top 25 with 85 Thor, 85 wolverine and generic ragnarok 3 times. Replace Thor with spidey or hood (just to scare away people from attacking you). Just remember the only thing that counts is the last 30 minutes. As his level gets higher it will be easier for you to win lighting rounds and win more 3* villains and maybe even get the rest of his abilities.

I'm kinda in the same boat, choose between a 1/2/1 Spidey or a 2 red Rag. I've enough HP for one upgrade. With the direction the game economy appears headed, I may be better off upgrading neither and buying only cover slots.

I'd kinda like to support the game incrementally, but $5 won't even buy me one 3* upgrade. 2* covers are too common as rewards to pay for.

Get ragnarok red and play lightning rounds. You should be able to least get in the top 50 and get those other tokens in time. Ragnarok is so stupidly overpowered, that even a 3/0 is better than most 13 cover 2* heroes. He is the best damager in the game. He is the best board controller in the game. He is 2nd best tank (IM40 has 100 more health but doesn't scare people away) in the game. There is no reason to ever use anyone else.

If you can get ragnarok to 5 red covers and classic storm to 5 green you win the game forever. I'm not joking they can beat literally every team the game can throw at you. And you don't even need to max level, either 50-60 range is fine. +3 ap boost +3 red ap boost and ragnarok can make 15 green tiles. Storm takes those tiles and makes more red ap. ragnarok makes more green.

Once you got a scary team the only thing stopping you from getting 500-1000 hero points an event is the time you put into the game.

I already have c.storm at 4/4/4, so that sounds like a good plan.

Huh....I hadn't even thought of using c.storm with Ragnarok. Interesting.

My Shield Training team usually has Rags and one of the Storms on it for ap generation. The third really doesn't matter. Spidey is nice for those times when you have a horrible board.
