You think Falcon/Black Panther/Punisher make a viable team?

Quick rundown of their setup:

Falcon: Level 141 - 5 Yellow, 4 Blue, 4 Purple
Panther: Level 134 - 4 Yellow, 4 Blue, 5 Black (likely going to make him 5/3/5 once I get another yellow cover)
Punisher: Level 141 - 3 Black, 5 Green, 5 Red

I'm pretty much committed to them at the moment thanks to their levels, but do you think they have long-term potential? I have some doubts, as I feel like they lack a certain punch, but they seem to have a decent color combo going (Falcon's two passives are actives for Panther, with only black overlapping for him and Punisher). What do you guys think? If you think it's a bit lackluster, do you have any tips on who else I should try using with one or two of them?

Certainly viable. A little slow to kill, maybe but Black Panther's black power covers a lot of problems, the Judgment-Falcon combo is quite nice for chipping away at health in the meantime (although it lacks attack tiles and low cost spammable abilities to really abuse the powered up strike tiles) and Falcon's blue helps defend. I guess you'd play this in PvE and in the Shield Simulator? Seems like it would be fine in both.

I can't help but think the way MPQ is at the moment though that the best defence is to kill quicker and the Judgment-Falco combo is too slow to take advantage of- instead of building yellow matches you would get more damage by continuing to match black. I would still use Classic Mags, if you have him, rather than Falcon. Just gives you more ways to kill, and still covers the colour combinations.

I agree it seems viable to me. I like that there are different ways to play it depending on your opening board. You could go Judgement/Inspiration into RoP/Molotov or environment (with Pun's 4x) and yellow into Battleplan then anything to mop up (little lackluster since it wastes inspiration). I've been thinking that Punisher and BP could work well together with Pun's environment tile awesomeness, but their overlapping black aoe is a bit of a nonbo at least for defense.

edit: didn't see the part above about classic mags - agree he would likely be better, but he doesn't actually match purple, despite having a very good active purple ability. Not sure whether OP would rather have the match damage or the ability, but either way, Mags does seem like an ideal candidate to pair with those guys (but then again he's ideal to pair with almost anyone)

Viable in PvE and viable in PvP are totally different things. Most teams are playable if you don't have to worry about someone attacking you, but you do. While it's hard to win in defense in general, you don't want to appear to be extra vulnerable. Falcon is a fairly vulnerable character on his own and without Daken for the immediate pain I think most people will be pretty bold in attacking you, though to be fair if you're only running this for SHIELD training then it's probably okay since you lose relatively little points there. You'd have some strong matchup like against Sentry if he's alone (he basically cannot ever use Sacrifice after you have 5 blue) though.

Thanks for helping me out, guys! The only reservation I have with what you're all telling me is that I'm leery of investing in Magneto due to the imminent nerf (although I've received two blue covers of his in the past day, making him 3/4/4 at the moment - it might be a sign). Then again, the devs are making Valve time look fast, so who knows when the nerf'll happen? I'm thinking Daken wouldn't be a bad replacement for Falcon, but I, well... think he's a total tool and kinda don't want him on my team for it. I'm a little tempted to dump what I get into Thor just so I'll have a hulking tank of death, even if his colors clash with Punisher.

I never realized that Magneto doesn't even get purple match damage, either (almost every character I've seen has strength that goes in the order of their colors - e.g. Punisher's strongest is black, then green, then red). Cool stuff.

After playing around with falcon, im convinced that the only viable team with him for pvp on offense is with lazy daken, because he is the only character that will reliably get and maintain 3 strike tiles on board in a reasonable amount of time: even punisher just seems too slow to make inspiration always have an impact on the game. Youre better off replacing falcon with cmags or lazythor in the comp i think, since without reliable inspiration, falcons pretty terrible on offense.
