What is up with being locked out of active events?

I'm sure we have all experienced skipping forward through the matches and then having none come in after a skip. Sometimes all three will go away and then we are locked out completely. Typically this is fixed by going into another event and skipping or just browsing there. That was working on the Mags lightening round but then I got locked out for the last 5 minutes of the round. I was closing in on a top 50 finish and a 3* pick but had to settle for the 2* hero card. I tried closing the app and even changing devices but I was still locked out. Is this some kind of protection against skipping? If it is on purpose then what triggers it? If it is a bug then is it one that is known and being worked on?

    This happened to me during the Heroic Venom event. I tried everything also (closing out the app, re-connecting to my wireless, etc) but it stayed greyed out. I was able to access and play the other PVP events, but not that one. I put it down and came back a few hours later and it was back to normal.

    Hope they are working on it. Sucks that it locked me out of the end of the round. Was one of the few times I was in position to get the 3* cover icon_e_sad.gif

    its all server/packet connection loss. on my commute, i ALWAYS run into this. at home, very very rarely. dunno how'd u fix this, improve server to user connection?

    You think it is internet connection based? I can fix that by finding a better network connection. I'll try that next time.

    I don't think it is. At least not a connection the user can control. Because like I said, I was greyed out of one event but could connect (and play in) other events. It seems odd that packet loss/connection loss would only effect one event.

    I suspect that a certain amount of matches are cached locally and the problem happens when you skip through them all. The other matches still have locally cached matches so they are ok until you go skip happy on them too.

    if you rapidly switch between the prologue and featured tabs, you can fix it in about 20 seconds. sometimes less, sometimes a little more. It's never taken me more than a minute.

    By rapidly I mean like put a finger on each tab and mash it. Gamers shouldn't have an issue with it.

    Awsome! I've been stuck for a while but that fixed it. I even tried switching devices to no avail. Very odd bug.
