48Hours: MPQ

Back in January after the first Hulk PvE and while there was only a single PvP running we sort of wondered what it would be like with consistent meaningful content going on. The last 48 hours has given us an idea of what that is like.
With the 2:24 refreshes in PvE, new Lightning rounds every 2 hours, the final 24 hours of a pvp, plus for some, like me, shield training in Season 2. There has not been a single minute of the last couple of days I haven't been playing a match that was working towards something I wanted.
I'm feeling a little punchy as we head into the home stretch of the PvE but I have to say at least for the last couple of days I have enjoyed adding a bit of resource management into all of the rest of the strategic decisions to be made.
I wouldn't want to be on this kind of a ride all the time but for a couple days every month or so would be fun.

  • I actually like Sunday nights when there are 2 PvE subs and 1 PvP event ending at midnight. I sit down at about 10pm and play for two hours and then reap the rewards at the end.

I like the end of a PvE where there's a new character released cause Colognoisseur will have it maxed out so we can see its full stats! icon_razz.gif
  • The new timer system helped a lot, but honestly, I only could (and would) only play the PvE. Overall, I played something like 50 hours on this PvE.

I had to play non stop (using lots of Health Packs) so that I could stay in the Top 40 and make sure I could get all the covers. Playing Magnetic Mayheim was impossible. LRs were just there to grind ISO (which I did). SHIELD training could be played when there is less activity.

I'd like more diversity in the tournaments though and better rewards. It gets boring after awhile to do the same thing over and over again.
  • I'd love to see all pvp elements and alliance elements removed from the week to 10 day long pve. Too many people don't want to grind and are basically forced to or they'll screw over their alliance members. At least this way people won't feel forced to do events they have no interest in. On that note, could pve be restructured so it's you vs the 'computer' scoring. That would help eliminate rubber banding and scaling problems that everyone hates (probably devs included)
  • True, I joined Retribution coz of colog. Well i spec my storm 5/3/5 .. a bit different from him.

I set my storm to 553 as I want her to be a tile breaker on PvEs. The more tiles broken, the better.

I'd probably join for the same reason, but because he's cool **** and not because he maxes every character.
