Okay so a blurb popped up and told me there was a sweepstakes, but there are absolutely no details. It just says go to Facebook and like us to enter. What it doesn't say is what the rules are, prize(s) are, or if you have to have MPQ linked to your Facebook to win(I would assume it is so). Since I don't have it linked to my Facebook(yes, I play through Steam) is it even possible to link it at this point? It is a little annoying that more information doesn't seem to be available, but if it is then it is certainly well hidden.

OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. This Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) runs for the sweepstakes period [June 9, 2014 to June 15, 2014] (the “Sweepstakes Period”) listed on the entry site linked to these official rules (the “Entry Site”). This Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable laws and is void where prohibited. Residents of any country in which distribution of the Prize is not available, prohibited by law or export restrictions are not eligible. Sponsor is not responsible for entries not received or misdirected due to technical difficulties. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.

1. ELIGIBILITY
SWEEPSTAKES IS OPEN WORLDWIDE TO RESIDENTS 13 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER, EXCEPT WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. BY ENTERING THIS SWEEPSTAKES YOU WARRANT AND REPRESENT THAT YOU ARE A RESIDENT OF A TERRITORY IN WHICH THE PROVISIONS OF THIS AGREEMENT ARE LAWFUL AND OPERABLE IN THEIR ENTIRETY. Each Territory’s local laws and regulations apply. Employees of Sponsor, Marvel Entertainment, LLC (“Marvel”), and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, vendors, clients, and their respective Immediate Family Members are not eligible to enter or win this sweepstakes. “Immediate Family Members” means parents, step-parents, legal guardians, children, step-children, siblings, step-siblings, spouses, or people who share the same residence with any of the foregoing, whether or not related.

2. HOW TO ENTER
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. To enter the Sweepstakes, visit the Entry Site during the Sweepstakes Period and follow the instructions there to receive one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes. All entries must be received by 11:59 PM (Pacific Time) on or before the last day of the Sweepstakes Period. Limited to one (1) entry per person for the duration of the Sweepstakes Period. Entries generated by a script, macro, or other automated means will be disqualified. Each entrant must be the rightful owner (or have authorized use) of the email address identified in the entrant’s entry as of Random Drawing Date (defined below). In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a winner, the winner will be deemed to be the person in whose name the email account governing the email address was opened. Entrants must provide all information requested to be eligible to win. Incomplete, unreadable, or unintelligible entries will be disqualified. All information provided by entrants becomes the property of Sponsor. All entrants that share sweepstakes information will receive five (5) bonus entries for every new entrant received from direct referral in the online entry form.

3. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION
Selected entrants will be randomly drawn by Sponsor from all eligible entries within ten (10) days of the end of the Sweepstakes Period (the “Random Drawing Date”) to win the prize or prizes listed on the Entry Site. The winner of any prize will be responsible for any and all federal, state, and/or local taxes resulting from acceptance of such prize. Prize winners cannot assign or transfer the prize to another person. No cash or prize substitution is allowed except at the discretion of Sponsor. All prizes will be awarded. If a prize cannot be awarded due to circumstances beyond the control of Sponsor, a substitute prize of equal or greater retail value will be awarded; provided, however, that if prizes are awarded but unclaimed/forfeited by recipient, prize may not be re-awarded, in Sponsor’s sole discretion. Other restrictions may apply. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Limit one (1) prize per person, per household.

All prize winners will be notified by email within twenty-four (24) hours of the Random Drawing Date. Selected winners will be required to respond (as directed) to the notification within seventy-two (72) hours of attempted notification. A selected winner’s failure to timely respond to the notification may result in forfeiture of the prize and, in such case, Sponsor may select randomly an alternate winner from among the remaining eligible entries. Winners will be required to verify mailing address. Failure of any winner to provide required information within the specified time period may result in forfeiture of the prize and selection of an alternate winner from the remaining eligible entries. If the winner is a minor in the jurisdiction in which they reside, the prize will be awarded in the name of the winner’s parent or legal guardian.

All winners must currently have valid player ID upon conclusion of sweepstakes.

4. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION/RELEASES
By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these official rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which shall be final in all respects and which are subject to change at any time and without notification to entrants. By participating in this Sweepstakes and/or by accepting any prize that they may win, entrants agree to release Sponsor, Marvel and their parent, subsidiaries, affiliated companies, units, and divisions, and advertising and promotional agencies, prize suppliers and licensors; Facebook and any promotional partners or platform providers and each of their respective officers, directors, agents, representatives and employees, successors, and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all actions, claims, injury, loss, or damage arising in any manner, directly or indirectly, from participation in this Sweepstakes and/or acceptance or use of the prize. Entrants authorize the Released Parties to use their name, voice, likeness, biographical data, city, and state of residence and entry materials in programming or promotional material, worldwide in perpetuity, or on a winner’s list, if applicable, without further compensation unless prohibited by law. Sponsor is not responsible for any failure to contact entrants, whether due to technical or human error. The Released Parties shall not be liable for: (i) late, lost, delayed, stolen, misdirected, postage-due, incomplete unreadable, inaccurate, garbled, or unintelligible entries, communications, or affidavits, regardless of the method of transmission; (ii) telephone system, telephone or computer hardware, software or other technical or computer malfunctions, lost connections, disconnections, delays or transmission errors; (iii) data corruption, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to or alteration of entry or other materials; (iv) any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by the prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use of a prize, or from participation in the Sweepstakes; or (v) any printing, typographical, administrative, or technological errors in any materials associated with the Sweepstakes. 5. LIMITATIONS ON LIABILITY

7. PRIZE WINNER LIST/RULE REQUESTS
To obtain a copy of these official rules or a winners’ list within ninety (90) days of the close of the Sweepstakes Period, visit the Entry Site or send your request (please specify Winners’ List or rules and Sweepstakes name) with a self-addressed stamped envelope to Sponsor. Winners lists will be sent once all winners have been verified and prizes have been awarded. Washington State and Vermont residents may omit return postage.

I agree - this clause is outrageous, however it is pretty standard for competitions these days.

In reality, because there are no special "entry materials" entrants have to create + submit to enter (such as a short story, drawing, or photo), there is very little that can be exploited here. The Released Parties (Sponsor and all associated parties) would have to be mad to go on a promotional spree to advertise the results of this comp - the prize pool is valued at $170 US total, and is made up of digital currency that is valuable exclusively to MPQ players... Hardly the kind of thing to generate waves of publicity for any business!!

They did announce the winners on a Facebook post/ update. I was one of them. They also politely asked about using my name and/or game handle in promotional materials. I said sure.

Prize HP came shortly thereafter. Was only lurking on the forums then, but I am peeking my head out to say thanks to them for the sweepstakes, and on a related note thanks to all the forum goers for all the tips and guides and helpful hints found on the forums. It has really helped me out at times. Cheers and good luck if you enter the new sweepstakes!
