How are you avoiding the update? I've had my app do a surprise update while I switched to another app after a match.

I haven't played yet today (so it might force me into it today), but all last night when I was playing it would keep asking me to update. I'm playing on an Ipad.

I'm on ios 7 on iPhone 4s and I'm still getting a persistent popup every few minutes (probably every other match). No forced update yet. That's my fear though - it'll force me to update at a critical time.

I hit skip all day yesterday, and then it ninja'd an update over night. I woke up this morning with a notification saying "MPQ has been successfully updated".

That pop-up is SUPER annoying. I was having issues connecting yesterday...had CLD multiple times and even during half an hour of it I got the pop-up a couple times. Um....if I cant connect why (WHY!?!) do you think Ill be able to update?

It's sneaky. MPQ attempts to turn on wifi when you start game, even if mobile data is enabled.

I have MPQ on mobile and on my pad (at home), both in R54.
My tablet is wifi only, so can't use the "wifi only update technique", like on my mobile. But until yesterday the game on my pad shows the pop-up, so I skipped it and it was fine.

In the evening yesterday, I was playing (last push for TaT ) on my mobile and suddenly i was unable to connect
In fact, my wife started the tablet to watch tv in bed. MPQ started a 'ninja' update, without warning like previously
I stopped it manually, and then I was able to reconnect with the mobile device ...

I think that with the end of TaT, I will update on the tablet, and see if there are differences.

Well, I chose very poorly. I updated about 6 hours before the end of the event so as not to get screwed if it forced an update at an inopportune time (i.e. the last hour of the event). I hit a brick wall of high levels as soon as I did and consequently fell out of top 40 (was holding top 10 for most of the event). Ah, well.
