Punished for updating the app

Completely frustrated today - I updated the app last night when going to bed, and when I woke up today the new scaling had pretty well tripled my enemies strength on every node in the mafia event

So I've gone from 23 in the Mafia/Thick as Thieves event to outside the Top 200 and falling fast - I can basically manage two fights before my team need significant resting, and there is no guarantee that I will win both or either of those fights.

The most frustrating thing is that I've been playing this event for several days, and now with 1.5 days to go I'm basically definitely going to finish lower than people who haven't updated the app.

Completely regret updating the app last night as I've basically been punished for doing so - it's significantly worsened my playing experience to the point that I'm starting to think why bother playing.

I will admit, D3 really screwed up on this one. They need to FORCE the update in order to keep playing, otherwise there will be some people (...me) who haven't updated yet, that are basically playing with a significant advantage over a majority of the other players.
