If What D3 does happens in real life

Let's compare what D3 does and real life...

If the NBA acted like D3, they would change the rules of a basketball game at halftime if the game is a blowout to ensure the other team has a chance in the game, such as making all baskets by the team down a bunch counting as 5 points until they get caught up.

If FIFA acted like D3 , they would make things easier for the lower ranked World Cup Teams to win, grouping all the mediocre countries into their own brackets to ensure some of the lower ranked teams make it to the second stage... They would group Brazil, Portugal, Spain, and Germany in same bracket and force some of the powerful teams to lose in the Group Rounds.

Anyone have any others?

  • Each game would have a different scoring structure that they do not share with anyone prior to the game.

Sometimes the refs would use explosives to blow a huge hole at midfield, and then just walk out of the stadium with no indication of when they'll return.

Periodically, someone from the league office would run out onto the field and club your star player in the knees.

Game 1 of the playoffs ends at midnight tonight. Game 2 ends at noon tomorrow. Games 3 and 4 end at midnight tomorrow, unless one ends at fifteen minutes later. Your team needs you to win at each of them.

The league announces the next change to the rulebooks, except for the chapters they don't release.

More really fun stuff would be free and people would complain about it.
  • Coach: "What do you mean he can't play?"
Ref: "I'm sorry, but the other team already has someone on their team named James."
Coach: "But he's our star player."
Ref: "That's unfortunate, but the other team took the field first."

You mean MPQ isn't real life????

    Oh, the shock and trauma.
  • MMR/Scaling in MPQ has the same issue as NBA; it systematically rewards losing. The system is put in place to help weaker teams (smaller markets) compete against bigger markets in hopes of making the game more fair and competitive. What does MMR/Scaling intend to do? Level the playing field so that weaker teams are on even footing with stronger teams, and to provide competitive matches game in and game out.

Cavs suck -> Draft Lebron -> Lose Lebron -> Suck again -> Draft Kyrie Irving. Huge rewards for fielding terrible teams. The mechanics are different in MPQ, but the idea is similar; get rewarded for being bad. Luckily for us, OBW won't just leave our roster in dissatisfaction, just as we're ready to jump into the 3* transition

Sharding is really funny, but the NBA conferences are so imbalanced that it LOOKS like it's been sharded, even though it hasn't
  • D3 would cause an electrical shortage to make it so that AC doesnt function for the game causing your best player to leave the game with cramps in the 4th quarter....

    ...oh wait

This was more fun to read than mpq is to play right now
