Game has really bad lag now after R55

I don't know if it's just me or not, but ever since I updated to R55, the gameplay is really slow and lagging. I mean I guess technically it's an improvement over the freezes that were happening during my matches, but it's still not good. Matches are taking at least twice as long as before - something that will be unacceptable at the end of tournaments.

I'm on a Sony ZL running Android 4.4.2 (KitKat)

PS - ever since I was upgraded to KitKat, the phone gets super hot while playing MPQ - probably why it's been so laggy. If anyone happens to have a solution for me to get this issue under control before I burn out my phone, that'd be great.

    the game itself isn't lagging for me, but starting the game now seems to have a huge pause or even freezes my mobile now!

    It's rh Android system, Dragon.,We were playing in our IPad and it was okay. While it charged, we switched to our Moto X that runs KitKat, and immediately it started freezing.

    Here in Brasil they are about to update Kit Kat to 4.4.3, but we have not received it uet and can't tell you whether it will solve the problem.

    Great, so lag was introduced on the phone version and the Steam version is totally borked. Way to break your game, devs! icon_evil.gif

    After the update on my tablet (Nexus 10, running 4.4.3) it refuses to start a second time. I gave up and lost patience earlier today and kept killing it or restarting the tablet. It then fired up no problems. Close the game and come back later, nothing again, kill, restart, repeat.

    But I just tried again and left it alone to see what happened. After a minute or so, it suddenly came to life.

    I have this problem too now. After about 3 matches it freezes and I can't complete a match. Really annoying.

    Sorry to necro, but I've been experiencing massive slowdown on my Galaxy Nexus for the past month or so. I didn't realize how bad it was until I saw my sister playing MPQ on her Droid (Droid Mini, maybe?). What I thought was "normal" speed, i.e. no slowdown, chugs along at half the speed of hers. When I get even more slowdown, PVE maps can take up to 6 full seconds to load all graphical elements after clicking through all fight-victory screens.

    Aaaand, it sometimes gets quite hot, to boot.
