What the TINY kitty is going on with the points structure?!?

WARNING!
This is more of a rant than anything else. I still love the game. That's why I am here. So if you are easily offended, especially by other peoples opinions (You know who you are. LOL), just click the back button on your browser. Thank you, You have been warned. . .
The points structure for PVE has been bouncing ALL OVER the place as of late. It's driving me effing insane! And I am sure I am not the only one.

I understand the need to test out new pointing systems, as it seems you guys can't get it right. But for the love of ***, can you please at the very least let us know what/when these things are happening? Mark the event "Beta" or something to let us know that you will be tinkering with how the **** works! AND DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT NINJA IT IN, IN THE MIDDLE OF AN EFFING EVENT?!?!?!?!?!? icon_evil.gificon_evil.gificon_evil.gif

I mean, good grief. Rubberbanding gone, rubberbanding back to normal, rubberbanding on steroids, scaling too low, scaling back to normal, scaling way to high, global points goal changed mid game, progression rewards too high, progression rewards too low, etc etc etc

Does no one there stop and say "Hey, maybe we should leave things alone until the event ends and try again on the next one?"

You did some good things with the last 2 PVE's. (and some not so good things). If you could just take the good things, LEAVE THEM IN, and work on the bad, that would be much appreciated.

But back to my original point, SET THE POINTS/RUBBERBANDING/SCALING/ETC AT THE BEGINNING OF AN EVENT, AND THEN DON'T **** TOUCH THEM UNTIL THE NEXT EVENT!!!

  • TaT was insane the first time around too, and the main bracket was only open for the last day or so (took that long to hit the target), and there were only 2 stacks of every node so you couldn't have grinded more than that even if you wanted to. That said the new changes this time (main bracket unlocked 3 days earlier, 5 stacks of every mission, constant refresh time) made everything a lot worse. But TaT was never something you'd go to as an example of a good point structure.

    I wasn't here for the 1st TaT's PVE.

It's more or less the same as what you see, only slightly less insane. We had sub brackets where 1000 was enough for a top 10 finish, and then when the final main bracket opened up we had nodes worth 2000 points from rubberbanding, thus completely destroying all the effort you made prior to that point. I'm not sure why anyone would ever want to run that kind of point structure again, but I can't say the outcome is unexpected.
