Overlapping PVE events again. Fix required, preferably in the next few hours...

Just over 17 hours ago, a 4-day version of The Hunt PVE event started.

Just under 7 hours from now, a 3-day version of Operation Spider-Silk PVE event appears to be starting.

Both events will be running at the same time.

We're all aware that there have been times when two events have overlapped by a day, but, one way or another, it's always been unintentional/in error.

That single day of overlap is bad enough, especially for players who are limited by when they can play and/or the amount they can play.

These two events are overlapping by three days, which is obviously, far, far worse.

Things like this can only push players to breaking point.

The obvious solution seems to be cancelling Operation Spider-Silk, so only one major PVE event is running at once (along with Deadpool's Daily Quest, and Puzzle Gauntlet, of course).

@TheMigz, please, please, please can someone fix this, preferably before the Operation Spider-Silk starts in a few hours' time?

    Heya,

We had initially thought to leave the event there as technically the one that started yesterday is the interloper, and the one tonight is in the correct position (this was an error with scheduling due to the changes to PVE events around Sword Master's release).

That's us not yet understanding how you folks interact with the schedule.

But you're right, it is a significant extra burden on the most dedicated players. So we will see if we can nix the event running tonight.

Thank you for responding to this so quickly, and for implementing the most sensible, most player-friendly fix.

Breaking point? I mean there are many things in life which can push us to the brink - losing our keys, parking attendants, Michael Mcintyre, Tottenham Hotspur fans but being slightly inconvenienced by a game surely can't be one?

The breaking point presumably is the one that makes people quit.

But no one seems to at this point, everyone just complains. All the ones who wouldn’t put up with this chaos left already.

Exactly! If you are going to throw in the towel over this then I have no idea how quickly you crumble facing something serious! My toast got burned, I can't go on!

I will go against what I just said and say I think some people who are mostly casual and boss players might decide to stop playing if Wed-Sat bosses are harder to fit into their schedule.

What, why would they do this based on feedback from one player?

I wanted the double progression stuff!

Yeah, I'm a bit confused why not just keep it? Seems like one or two people said something and it was like "well, that settles it; the masses have spoken". I wouldn't have minded playing them both. Not sure who it hurts, other than giving out extra rewards.

Ya I wished they kept spider silk since it’s the correct PVE. I’d rather do that than florida

.....there are other players, and ways to communicate with devs, and people expressing opinions, than just the forum.

There's the Discord (horrors! the horror of that pit of chaos!) and the official subreddit, where two separate posts complaining about dual PVEs went up before they removed it.....

IDK, whatever to me. It's not like even dual rewards would put a dent the vast amount of covers my roster can absorb before I maxed everyone out.

But I also don't think that when you're moving all the events up a day it's a great plan to then put up double events because some people are going to play them and burn themselves out, or get mad, etc because they can't focus on just one and do well.

And the people who try to compete are often the ones spending money on this silly game.

Rule 1 should be try to keep your paying customers happy.

    They're all boycotting still.

I don't know who's paying right now, but I don't think any of us can say what the paying players want.
