Meeting into ascended 5*s

I just pulled an ascended 5* jugg from a vault. I was already building towards my own with a 3*, 2*, and 2 1* juggs. Now there's no real point to continuing my own build. It would be nice if instead I could use all the covers invested in my redundant 3* and 2* juggs to raise the level of the 5* I just received; a kind of incremental ascension.
