Quitting after platinum

I recently reached Platinum, and for me that meant saying goodbye to any realistic chance of placing top ten in events, along with the rares and extra packs that were attainable in Gold. On top of that, I’m now constantly facing decks that just lock you out and wipe you in a single turn, drawing what feels like an infinite number of cards with no real counterplay. You can just hope you manage to kill them with insane luck fast enough before they play more than one card.

The game stopped being fun. I can’t be the only one quitting because it feels completely unfair. These one-turn-kill decks are incredibly boring to play against and killed my motivation to even open the game.

It's worth bearing in mind that Webcore have made some big balance changes to the game recently, and they may not be aware of the one-turn-kills you're talking about, so if you mention the specific cards used here in this thread it's possible they might get rebalanced...

This sounds like you are playing Legacy events, where you will encounter a lot of loop decks. The AI opponent often doesn't know how to play these decks but sometimes it gets lucly and it goes off. You will get these kind of cards yourself eventually. What does your coalition think of this? If you are not in one I can highly recommend joining an active coalition.

If you are talking about Standard events then like Janosik I'm also curious to know.
