matches don't match

So my game has decided that matches don't actually count for anything anymore. This is my turn and for the last several rounds, making a match (me or the computer) end the turn, but doesn't actually break tiles, grant AP, or deal damage.

This isn't just the visuals being wrong, because the game is definitely registering moves as a match, it just isn't actually doing what's supposed to happen on a match!
