New Character - Viper (Ophelia Sarkissian) 4*

Most characters now use burst heath though don't they? Crystal, medusa, Mephisto, Zemo, red skull etc etc.... none of them recover health that carries over to next battle? It's an interesting mechanic and I think it's going to work very well in some team comps

A 4AP AoE green could do something as a third wheel to Sam and Juggs. I don't think it'll be the new go-to 3rd wheel for them but I could be wrong.

I think there has been one or two exceptions to this rule since then, but that still holds more-or-less true - if a character heals itself then it's usually (but not always) true healing. If a character heals characters other than itself, then it's always (with one or two exceptions, maybe,) burst health.

Crystal seems an ideal partner with one of the Hydra's. I understand they have focused entirely on Hydra but it would have been fun if she has some synergy with Silver Samurai considering they were one of the more surprisingly loyal to each other villain team-ups. No biggie. No real idea how she will play but there does seem quite a wide scope of partners for her and foes she will take advantage of.

My read is she stabs you twice but gives you only one band-aid.

That green power. I know it costs 10 but….. I can’t wait to see if it hits the way I think it

OR! It alternates between only decreasing 1 or 2 total! Because, text.

Haha, good point! We'll have to see when she shows up in game.

IIRC, back in the early days of the game, all healing was true healing. Players would then take their wounded characters with 2* BW into an easy fight to heal them back up if they were out of health packs. Which, of course, was far more common when there were only about 10 characters in the game. The devs decided to change this to burst healing, presumably to encourage players to spend on health packs.
Many years later, I think Wong became the first character following this to true heal teammates. Dr. Bong and Agatha can too now and there may be more that I'm forgetting.

Eh, nobody ever spent much on health packs, before or after true healing.
This was actually a player-friendly change, although it was probably the most hated change by players in the game's history. At that time there were real advantages to be gained by playing MPQ 24/7, if that was a thing you were inclined to do. Prologue healing allowed them to do that without using any resources, which means quite a few did. And if you wanted to compete with them, you had to as well.
Eventually they made some changes that discouraged this kind of thing even if you were buying packs, because a group of players were doing that anyway.

Think all de dmg done from purple all collected in store then released it all with green to enemy team.

The game has her now and you can see that green costs 4 ap at 5 covers.

I was trying to think about big burst healers...I knew there was one but I couldn't remember who. Crystal is around sometimes, but not all that often.
But I finally did figure it out -- it's not a character, it's a support! Implanted Bomb is widely used on the Juggernauts, and it burst heals them for 13% of their max health every time they make a match-4. Since the AI loves match-4s and their health pools are really big, this can result in a ton of healing.
I'm not sure if that's enough of a use case to make Viper good, exactly, but it's very useful and the ability only costs 4.

Crystal isn't true healing either though is she? 🤔
The vast majority of healers are burst healers i think. If they can heal in the comics it's true healing (generally speaking I guess- surprised sabertooth doesn't heal) . I remember the discussion about this YEEEARS ago when everyone use to use 2* widows healing and then it was switched to "non true" healing lol uproar!
