Oct 14: It sure would be nice to have a calendar for the Anniversary and the game's big month

That is all.
I know S0kun has a new baby and congratulations!
But come on.
If they can't get one other person to put together a calendar things must be worse than I thought.

They don’t start until Thursday.
Give a guy a break; new baby brain affects everyone.
Congratulations SOkun.

Am I to understand that there are 3 staff at bcs? Devpool, ice and sokun? Maybe sokun should tell people how to do the calendar while he selfishly has a child.

Maybe Sokun's job is a union job and thus protected; others cannot do it?

Is this some bizarre American thing?
I've never been in a team brief and my boss has said have you completed this time sensitive thing and I've said no because the other guy is on paternity.
As a member of staff it is presumed that you are there to work?Eg
"Why isnt this spreadsheet updated, we are missing 2 weeks"
" dont have a go at me the bloke who opens the mail isn't here"
"P45 GTFO"2 -
I imagine they are also devs who work on parts of the game.
They’ve got bigger things to worry about than telling people which of the same PVEs we’re going to play for the umpteenth time.
Would it really make that big a difference if you know that you’re going to play Webbed Wonder or the Hunt again next week?

"P45 GTFO"Isn’t it normally the other way around? The US has hardly any job protection compared to Europe. With all the laws we have you can probably set fire to your boss and maybe only get a severe warning.

I shall investigate and come back to you

"P45 GTFO"Your mistake is assuming this is a "time critical" thing (or a "critical" thing in any way).
When the guy who has the least important job is out, nobody covers for him, because his job is not important.

So are you insulting sokun or ?
Also if his job isnt important why would said person be employed, roll his duties to some one who is employed who is deemed worthy?
The US has a strange view of employers and employees
I only found out yesterday that the wage for servers is 2 dollars, which is £1.50. The minimum wage here is £12.21Proper madness

Nah, they just don't really care about communication -- it's never been a high priority for them. When we went without a community manager (for years) they just never posted anything here at all.
I'd try to come up with an analogy for it, but well...
Edit: this is not defending them, not anything close to that. I was pointing out that this particular instance of total communication failure is more a symptom of the fact that they generally don't care about communication at all and don't prioritize it ever.

For me it was never about knowing what pve were scheduled, but more the advanced notice of what the progression and placement rewards would be. Knowing a cover and shards was coming for my current favorite would allow me to switch to a different favorite or know more precisely when to switch to not waste any resources.
Now I just care about the boost list.

I'll make this simple, communication has been getting worse and worse, no excuse for it. Regardless of what going on.

I agree, we need things done right

We were supposed to get a dedicated Community Manager: Yume but she was laid off in 2023 and so the job is supposed to be shared between S0kun and MPQBlaine. As I didn't see the latter step in for S0kun I have to assume they had been assigned elsewhere or are no longer with the Devs. Don't recall MPQBlaine posting recently. We used to get Lakestone drop in sometimes but again, not recently I don't think.

"P45 GTFO"I have seen some crazy things with some unions. Sat for 3 hours with no work being done because the 1 guy trained/certified to turn on the generator was late. Everyone else knew how but we’re not allowed and the company refused to send someone else.

The reason I started this thread is because with the new SCLs - which also still have no post, after being running for 2 full days - things like the boost list and which event is coming are important to consider when selecting which you want to play.
Of course you can argue that it's not that important to you, you'll figure it out when it starts etc.
But the devs have posted a "What's New" or calendar consistently for years and years without fail. Also S0kun is back for about 1.5 weeks.
I am completely empathetic to having a new baby (apparently it's his third) and the strain that puts on your life. But also the game is suffering mightily in terms of revenue and player engagement.
A calendar should be a completely routine thing although the graphic probably takes some work; they could even have put up the text part and added the graphic later? Anyway hopefully we see something soon.
