R329 Stuck Loading Screen

We believe we’ve identified a fix for the issue preventing some players from getting past the black loading screen. The fix requires updating the live version of the game to a new patch.
If you’re affected, please restart or force close MPQ and this should resolve the problem.

That's great but seriously again? This is starting to get a bit surreal.

I have been inundated with interest in the Unity engine and people need to be patient as 90% of early adopters has faced financial ruin on totally unrelated issues.
Unity
40% of the time it works every time2 -

Good day sir5 -
Just go back to the old engine. Unity is the biggest failure in mpq history

I got in but my game history is gone!

Luckily, one of those things that we thought could be the issue, seems to have resolved it. Hopefully in the future we'll be able to display error codes to make life a lot easier for everyone.

"If we do a good job with Unity the players shouldn't even notice any difference"

So 5 months after switching to a new engine every breaks daily.
At this point how hard would it be to switch back until Unity ACTUALLY WORKS!

Why do people keep thinking they’ll switch back?
Do you think it would be easy?
Do you think they’ve been maintaining the old build with all the new characters and things? That they can just hotswap a hard drive or something?
They’d have to copy the code or something and bring it over and like it’s been about 2 1/2 months since Steam got Unity now. And it would be expensive and slow and have no benefit because they’d have to go back to Unity again anyway.
It’s like you’re in the bargaining stage of grief. Accept that we’re in this. You can keep playing or not but it won’t go magically back to how it was. Not ever.
Maybe - not putting any money down - they’ll get the Unity build working like the old version after another few months or whatever but “just go back” is not on the table. It’s like, say, when you graduated high school, it’s over and time to move on no matter how much you liked it.

It sounds like it would be even harder than that given that pre-unity there were 8 to 10 different device build paths being updated and maintained. Sure, that's where you lost the device specific optimizations when the code base was merged to the single platform, but having one build that you push changes for everyone at the same time is theoretically a better business model. We just haven't hit that inflection point where the benefits of the changeover are affecting more people positively than negatively.
I'm one of those rare Kindle players (just recently upgraded my 8 year old machine) and have had a relatively stable and mostly issue free experience since the changeover. I don't see the freezing issues, battery issues, hot processors, or black loading screen that everyone else is experiencing. Conversely, I also am not enjoying the "issues" with the resetting quests either. I'm not offering up that my device is superior to any of those folks' devices with issues, just that its handling the new engine better for whatever reason. And once they get more devices to that state, we can all go back to the more important debates, like (6s will save/ruin the game, Zombies are the best/worst thing about Marvel Halloween, That new 5/4* is the worst character they've released so far - better get them to 550 as fast as possible, etc.)

I personally don't think they can roll back. They would've done it long ago if possible. At any rate, it seems to me like a 'take it or leave it' situation now...

Thanks for the response S0kun. I don't pretend to know anything about coding to understand why there are so many problems, I just hope you guys can figure this out. Good luck!

'Could be a myriad of things'
'Luckily, one of those things'
'Hopefully in the future'Sounds like things are in great shape.

They can't roll back. That's not even on the table. It's forward or bust.

The sound effects are missing when opening cover packs.
The bonus shards noise is gone too.
