    OK....
    Eb, who hurt you?
Cause let me tell if you spent all night attacking me in pvp, I would still be none the wiser when I logged back in

I hope they do patch it soon, because I struggle to find enjoyment in beating such absurdly easy teams. What makes it even worse is that it's happened at a time when the 'class of...' PvPs are running, which I usually enjoy a lot due to character restrictions resulting in a break from the usual meta.

Totally disagree. PvP has been fun for me in the first time for a long time. I never get to 50 wins otherwise as it is such a slog.

Totally disagree! I always get to 50 wins, but I had trouble finding the motivation to do it against weaker teams and seeds. I play PvP to hurt other strong players, not noobs or fake teams.

Luckily if you skip A LOT, you can still find strong teams to fight, but we shouldn't have to do all that just to play the game!

And totally disagree with you. :-)

My play style is not to hurt other teams. Is that you cup of tea? Honestly makes no sense to play PVP just to hurt other teams.

Yes, I enjoy taking points away from other players, dumping points to starve the slice, messing with people's hops, and taking placement over them. They get so mad (well, the s2 regulars are pretty used to it by now -- I think that's why they stay)! It's hilarious.

I especially enjoy retal wars! If we're going back and forth and I can get 2 or 3 wins for every win you get, that means I'm the better player. I like testing myself. I often try to bait people into wars by hitting them over and over from way above.

Winning every fight is boring. Never losing on defense is boring. MPQ is exciting when there's danger. That's why shield hopping is fun -- can you do your fights fast enough, before the zombies catch you? How many can you sneak in? If you never get attacked there's no point in rushing.

How do you play PvP (normally, not the way it is now) without hurting other players? You can't possibly shield check every single fight!

You play PVP way differently than I do. If you get enjoyment out of making other people's PVP miserable, good for you. I don't.

I don't, either. At best, you've mildly annoyed a complete stranger with an amount of effort that is never worth the reward.

The reward IS annoying a stranger (and judging by the number of death threats over the years, it's often not mild!).

I've never been threatened. I've had a couple of people ask for a truce, which I usually grant, but I've played the role of annoying guy before. It's usually just a back and forth and never hearing from that person at all. I get no enjoyment out of guessing I might've aggravated someone I don't know.

That's exactly the point though. I have no interest in attacking you or players like you because it's not fun! You don't care! That's why I don't like whatever this matchmaking is.

Oh man. I've been doxxed, sent gross autopsy photos, gotten all sorts of hilarious threats. Somebody sent a bunch of stuff to my wife once. Someone tried to get me fired from my job.

And all over a toilet game! These people are unhinged, it's hilarious. I'm not the one who takes this stuff seriously, I'm the one showing up late and giggling while I repeatedly -75 you out of first place and invalidate all the super serious "work" you did to get there.

Seems a bit odd to gain pleasure from tormenting people but equally if someone is that invested that they'd start doxxing me and threatening in real life I wouldn't want that either, that one lands a bit too close to home for me as I've lost someone over a frivolous matter.

I'm more interested in how all these pacifists manage to play PvP without taking points away from anyone. Do you dump all the points back to whoever you hit?

If you're hurting people by just playing the game, why not embrace it?

I’ve been threatened enough that I started looking at names during PvP and make sure that I never attack certain people or people from certain alliance more than once. And I don’t play for competitive placement. At best top 50 with a shield. The sucky part is that those threats were very effective and changed my play style.

I've never been threatened, I did once have a guy get mad at me for "sniping" them which was just confusing because I didn't even know what that meant at the time.

There is nothing you can do to me in a silly mobile game that would cause me to track you down out of game to threaten or whine at you. It's embarrassing and those players should be embarrassed -- THAT is taking the game too seriously.

Sniping someone for 700 points is funny, though, and if I did it to someone then I'd expect them to do it back to me in some later event.

Repeat attacks often aren't necessary to cause trouble. Ever attacked someone for 70+ points? Are you aware that they lose that many points, if you're both over a certain threshold? What if that person was trying for placement and you've just knocked them out of the spot they've been working for, for hours?

I guess I just play a different game. I don't find doing that "fun" at all. I hit someone once and then move on. No need for me to be a jerk about it if I find someone I can hit repeatedly. But again, that might just be me. I get no pleasure out of just hitting someone for the point of making them feel bad and me to feel "good" about myself.

Repeat attacks often aren't necessary to cause trouble. Ever attacked someone for 70+ points? Are you aware that they lose that many points, if you're both over a certain threshold? What if that person was trying for placement and you've just knocked them out of the spot they've been working for, for hours?

    Nothing personal, strictly business.

I mean, if I'm slowly climbing for placement, doing 5 point fights, and you hit me for 75 points, that's 15 fights' worth of points you just took off me. Do you feel good about that? Does that feel like something that's "just business?" Remember, there's another human person on the other side of every attack, and they are also trying!

(I won't take 60-75 off someone in a hit unless I HATE them and want them to lose points, or are confident they're so weak they won't notice the loss. That sort of thing is an incredibly aggressive act.)

Doesn't bother me at all. Hit them once and move on. Just like if someone hits me. I just take no glee out of taking points off people as it seems you might take. It does nothing for me. Part of the game but I don't love it nor do I hit anyone more than once.

If I was climbing 5 points at a time, you would take 75 points off me in one hit, setting me back by 15 matches, and feel nothing about it??? You're aware that attacks only come with a red "minus points" and a name, not an explanation of intent?

If someone could come along randomly and set your PvE grind back by 15 or 20 minutes, how would people feel about that? What if you lost 15 wins from your total every time I attacked you in PvP?

I thought I was being a super aggressive sniper but you guys are a whole different level!

Didn't realize just how seriously some people take PVP until I read this thread. I don't even read the names of the people I play against, nor the names on the pop-up showing me how many points I won or lost when someone plays against my team.
My only concern with PVP is hitting a total wins goal for progression rewards.
