It has been nearly 2 years since this ran so the memory is hazy but my notes say there was a Remastered and a Demastered that ran together. Is that what we're getting again or is it just 1 of them?
From the rewards listed above, it looks like only 1 will be running (possibly remastered).

This is what I was concerned about. Forcing the Boss to acknowledge that the next round has started could be janky on the old engine, let alone this current mess...

I’ve seen the same behavior many times on the old engine. Don’t think it’s a Unity thing.

You can lose a boss clear if the game hangs after you win against a side node.
I finished a side node battle while out of connection range and the game went to the blue screen. I closed the app and when I got back in connection range I restarted the game. I got credit for winning the battle but the boss node did not unlock. Instead I had to win another side node battle before the boss node would unlock. So I am down the amount of points of 1 boss clear.
