Create a saved team without center character?

So, apparently the new engine wipes our saved teams. Before, I had some templates saved with the left and right character, but the center left empty. This was useful for PvP as it let you apply to fill out without changing the required character. Does anybody know the steps to recreate a saved team like that? Is it possible with the new engine?

Recruit 1* character. Make the team you want with it in the middle slot. Save it. Then delete the rostered 1* character.

I just did it. It worked fine on andriod s24+

reminder. Setup up all your pick 2 combos with the zombie 1*. It will also help if you clear all the pick 3 from the saved list first. You generally want your pick 2 combos to live at the top of the list.

I didn't do a good job explaining. but the general idea is get your saved list organized before you delete the 1*. The main point to highlight is that when you edit the list in the future, later saved combos will drop( slide up the list) into the deleted slot and new saved combos are appended to the end of the list. Everyone has their own workflow, so this is the point where you want to lock down the list appearance as much as you can.

No judgment. I prefer my kaecilius team at the top. The pick two team since it would be my only one is easier to spot no matter where it is on the list.

To each their own. My most used teams are at the top and then descending order of usage. So Kaecilius is towards the bottom as there are only two events where he shows up.

You can also do it by ascending the character instead of deleting them.

Edit: Add the second character that will be used in ascension to the team, then ascended them.
