Trying a new thing, see if folks think it's fun. I love data. I keep track of all sorts of MPQ things.

For context, the question below includes Daredevil (King of the Fist) but nothing that follows.

There are four builds that appear in the game 7 times (the highest number of times across all builds). What color is in 3 of those builds (there are 2 correct answers)?

So I consider a "build" to be a specific pattern of colors. For example, the latest reveal is Daredevil with a Purple-Yellow-Red build (Purple first, Yellow second, and Red third).

When you count up all the permutations, there are 120 different possible builds (and for ease of analysis, we're not looking at weird exceptions like Legion or other color-changers). There are FOUR builds that are the most popular (and they each currently appear 7 times in the game). When you look at those 7, there are 2 colors that appear more often than any other color.

So, for example, if there were only 2 most-frequent builds and they were Orange/Pink/Brown and Pink/Lemon/Teal, then the right answer would be "Pink" since it appears in the most number of builds.

That is correct. Reb/Blue/Yellow would be different from Blue/Yellow/Red

Thank you! I was still utterly perplexed despite @nbperp completely good explanation, my brain could not wrap around the 7 bit, lol!

As I was preparing tomorrow's trivia question, I stumbled upon a coding/translation error I have had in my program for uploading new characters for the past few months. This means that my initial results were incorrect.

Technically, we have 4 builds that appear EIGHT time, not seven, as indicated in the original. AND there is only one color that predominates those builds.

I'm going to find my way to forgiving myself, call this week a wash, and still post the (now more correct than ever) answer tomorrow along with next week's question.
