Is Mephisto, Namor and Gorgon worth extra levels on them?

Hi all, i´m just returning to play mpq again, and wondering if this trio on latest legend is worth extra resources or should i wait until a better trio on the future make is debut. Thanks ahead for your answers, cheers.

Mephisto definitely. Him alone can wipe out every basic node in one match if high enough. Namor is...OK but I haven't found a great amount of use for him yet. Gorgon seems bad

Agree with the above. Mephisto: Absolutely. Namor: Sure, but not as good. Gorgon: Heck no.

If you are just returning, the new 5star Falcon is better than those 3 and would be a better investment. 3 star Namor is also better than most in the game, so ascending him should also be something to consider.

To actually answer your question though; Mephisto5 is pretty cool and fun, he is basically the best tick / chip damage character at this point (but not really strong meta)? Namor5 and Gorgon5 are both slightly fun to play and super run of the mill. I don't really think they do anything better than others already do, but they aren't bad.

    I would order them:
    1. Mephisto
    2. Namor
    3. Gorgon

If you've been away for a long time, 4stars are where it's at.

    1. Darkveil
    2. Sidewinder
    3. GhostRider99
    4. Maximus

all very good and damn good fun.

Should be able to 550 all of these in about three years.

Thank you for your answers, nice pointing Whitebomber for the 4 stars, and also knowing that 5 Falcon has the potential to be better than those 3, i think i will wait then. Cheers.

    Gorgon no.
    The other 2 are good.

In the current none of them will help you.

If you are going for Sam, I suggest focusing on building up your 4* Juggernaut if you are planning to run him in PvP. I do believe he is easily Sam's best partner.

It's not discussed much because Jugger4 is so good when ascended, but Mephisto5 tick damage also triggers Falcons strike tile passive every turn, which is quite nice.

There are other decent ones (he's not bad with Omega Red,) but Juggernaut is the only one he really shines with since Juggs does team damage so consistently. Weirdly enough Sam isn't bad with Mephisto, since Hellfire hits random enemies.

I agree with everyone else - Mephisto is pretty good to have high since he churns out the passive damage (and it's pretty low, so the bigger the better.) Namor isn't bad, but his best partner is MThor which makes him far, far, far from unique.

From the new crop, Gorgon and probably Hobgoblin (see his own thread,) are both kind of mediocre -- Gorgon is probably better in fact, I think he's ok, but he doesn't do anything particularly well and that's mandatory at this point for the S and A tiers. Sam is good, probably A tier, so long as you pair him with someone who does team or random damage.

Speaking for myself, I plan on maxxing Mephisto (or nearly so, I have a dupe Hellcat going so I'll get there sooner or later,) then taking it pretty easy until Sam is about to leave -- at that point we'll see. My own attitude is I want every 5★ at around 475 at least, but I have the pull income to make that trivial.
