I suspect a nerf will be coming in on this one. I know folks who did 2000 wins in SHIELD Sim this past season just doing 1 turn wins with Sidewinder. I personally am already up to 100 wins in the Rogue PvP with the vast majority of those wins happening before the other team ever gets to make a match. Those kind of metrics probably catch some eyes.

And yet it went through "testing". And was determined to be fine as is.

I ran Chasm (550) M'baku (470) Sidewinder (272 or something) with both cascade supports and leapfrog -- boosted +2 TU every fight, against mostly 550/550/550.

Against non Chasm teams I usually won (mind you, against full 550 5* teams) before they could move the board at all, and sometimes even before they woke up from the stun. Any cascade killed one or more enemies.

Sidewinder just has to be bugged. There is no way this is intentional.

The only "full" 550 team I saw was 3a5Namor chasm baku. The rest had at most two 550s with at the most a lvl 290 Sidewinder.

That particular team only showed up in any kind of numbers once I got near 2000 (but there are a LOT of 550 3->5 Namors around now, someone has been spending!). I was playing right at the very end though.

Not necessarily spending but definitely using resources. I'm a pretty light spender, did VIP monthly for a long time and a couple of starks early on. Once you get to everything rostered HP income throttles pretty fast. I'm sitting on 250k right now and haven't spent more than a couple of bucks to unlock the bonus rewards for the past 3-4 months. The bigger hurdle is tokens. Those that did spend big prior to the boycott are sitting on HP hoards that beggar mine by orders of magnitude.

I'd wager a lot of those folks running the 550 3a5 Namors had both tokens and HP put away well over what they could spend. I'm not in that camp since I open most of my tokens outside of LL immediately but there are plenty who build up massive hoards of every token type.

It's possible, but those reserves aren't going to last forever.

I expect to see a bunch of those same names with 550 Falcons shortly, as well as 370/550 Sidewinders (depending on how he ascends).

The fact that people can have 250k hp while spending a few bucks a month is why Sidewinder is broken AF and they are desperate to get people to burn resources (swaps for hp) to level him up.

A 550 5, no one is spending on those because there’s no advantage to anyone current (not good enough) to make spending cash on them. And so most 550 folks are hoarding cp and LTs.

They need to find a way to make whales spend. Buy clubs are shut down. No swaps, no spend.

We'll find out on Thursday when somebody ascends him. If he keeps the 10,000% bonus at 5*, then it's possible.

But I bet the match damage bonus at 5* will drop to whatever it was supposed to be before the intern botched the copy/paste job from the design spreadsheet.

Just a heads up to everyone! We're looking into Sidewinder being a little too OP so don't be surprised if you see some kind of rebalance in the near future. I'll try to post an update if/when a change gets pushed out.

Did you mean way too OP? Why make adjustments if he is a "little" too OP.

The obvious solution is to nerf Leapfrog... :p

Yeah his Purple definitely needs to be toned down. :D

Wish a few other things were getting the same look.

P.S. Gonna miss having to go back to brute forcing so many challenge nodes with BrB/Polaris + Heal supports. At least Sidewinder gave some other options.

Current match damage boost caps out at 1525%. Anybody want to place bets on what it'll be after the change?

My guess is 150% (which isn't even bad!).

@S0kun I put this in another thread but here’s an idea what other match damage monsters are doing. Hopefully SW will be in line with these characters and not blow them out of the freaking water. #powerbudget, #newengine

Captain Britain +780% max in strong colors with 18 stored AP.
    Karnak- +560% after 4 turns
Ikaris +380% when airborne to enemy in back
    IHulk +378% (after many deaths)
MBaku +300% (and 3% for each % health gone)
    Ghost +300%
    Juggernaut/Doop +225%
Chasm +220% max (I think? Not sure how he works)
    Rhino +200% in strong colors
    Thanos +175% (when CD out)
3* Namor +125% bonus damage with bottom 5 match
    Colossus +125%
    Adam Warlock +113%
Dark Beast +57% per black AP
America Chavez/Doop +30% per AP in that color
Headpool +30% bonus damage per match

    Teammate boosts:
    Iron May 150%
    Agatha +30% per teammate match
The Hunter +90% for 3 AP (tied to a CD)
    Cyclops +75% for 7 AP

Iron May is the best team booster at 150% flat. I think capping at 300% with 5 teamups would be fair for Winder.

Or let it go higher but require more TU. The fact you max it after 1 TU match (assuming you have a villain) is as much an issue as it hitting 1500%. If it went up by 50% per TU then at 30 TU it would reach 1500% it would be a lot more reasonable and in line with Captain Britain.

He basically ruined Rogue's PvP. Would be nice to also get some acknowledgement of that.

I think that's a good compromise actually. It's not hard to accrue a bunch of TU on offense (Fantasticar, Destroyer Gun, RTF), but it stops some of the turn 1 shenanigans on defense.
