Their race ended much the same way it began, walking through a sandstorm on a world that ended long ago.

Dear viewers! Welcome to the Ghirapur Grand Prix, the roar of engines is filling the air as drivers take to their positions on the starting grid. Each machine, a beast tamed by steady hands and focused eyes. The heat of the tracks ripples across the horizon, and the momentary silence is broken only by the low sound of exhausts. It's the moment of maximum tension: everyone waits for the lights to go out. When the signal is given, it will be an explosion of speed, skill and pure adrenaline. Who will cross the finish line as the ultimate champion?

Non-set-dependent objectives, for better or worse.

On better: don't necessarily have to play with newer or niche cards, and this might avoid tiering up if Gold or lower and not wanting to go up yet.

On (maybe?) worse: will probably face a lot of loop decks, but they at least don't have to be (neg and pos).

Everything I said about this objective in Night of the Hunt still stands:

We've not had one of these objectives in a coalition event in a while, and it's not an especially popular one. The reason is that you can potentially, randomly, be matched up against a Greg who has plays with zero creatures in his deck. Many players will therefore fail this objective through no fault of their own.

It is possible to give creatures to Greg (in the past we've had to use cards like Dowsing Dagger or Awaken the Erstwhile) but cards like this are extraordinarily rare. I think there's maybe one in the whole of current Standard, altho maybe I missed one.

A good way to solve this problem would be to have the event support which starts on the board create creatures for Greg, or for both players? Perhaps if a player would gain a 1/1 creature at the start of their turn? Maybe they only gain such a creature if they have no creatures in play? There are plenty of possibilities!

Allowing you to destroy your own creatures would be another way to make the objective less random and give the player more agency in completing it.
