Retiring entire sets is annoying

Neither Daxos vs Kalemne nor Zendikar vs Eldrazi cards can be collected. I think it's reasonable to say that they've retired an event if they haven't run it in over a year since even jumpstart runs at least once a year. Because of how the events were structured the packs for those sets only appear in the shop when their event runs. With most sets you can craft them or get them in non duplicate packs so they're still available even if they don't ever sell them in the shop or run an event that gives them as a reward.

These two sets are completely uncollectible now. If they had a plan for making these sets available they could have gotten it done in under a year and if somehow they couldn't they could have easily scheduled the events to give themselves more time. Since they haven't said anything I can only presume they've retired these sets and that's something that they're okay with doing.

I don't really like when they make any cards uncollectible. Jumpstart taking a new player longer to collect than the amount of time this game has even existed is already pretty awkward but at least if you play once a year you'll get there eventually. Making entire sets uncollectible is something I'd like to strongly object to because it's so easy to just occasionally make them available.

Yeah I was okay with 2023. It's 2024 that was the problem. They ran Daxos vs Kalemne in January and that's it. We're in February of 2025 now so it's been over a year since either has ran.

    This is an excellent point.

It's also been a few months now that daily rewards were actually daily, but we have not yet heard any reasoning for that either. Just saying.
