Unity is one the top development kits (especially for small games like this), so if anything they should have more options for tweaking / improving performance. Doesn't necessarily mean it will run better though since performance tuning can take a long time and is usually one of the last things you do.

This game is so simple, it's hard to imagine anything having issues with running it. My ancient phones ran it just fine with no performance issues. Loading the game for the first time is the worst part.

This new engine will that mean more power will be needed to play the game or will mins remain the same

It says both versions of the game does that mean they are dropping steam

Wonder how bad this will work on steam

Also says every 2 weeks so will it be so we still get 5 every two weeks

Presumably(?) Steam already uses an engine that is easy to manipulate, and the main impediment to the game's development is needing to make changes across all platforms, and changing the mobile side has been hard. I would not expect Steam to run any worse than now.

I don't know about power needed...that's a reasonable question. I am guessing they would not implement it if there would be significant upgrade in device power needed for users (or at least people with older devices).

The example given is that the 5s will alternate with other tiers, so the 5s will still release every 4 weeks while 2 weeks later there will be a new 2, 3 or 4. The main difference obviously is not releasing 3/5s as a pair, for now.
